This is an exciting opportunity to lead the University of Brighton’s global mobility and study abroad portfolio, supporting our ambitions to increase international mobility, strengthen global partnerships and enhance the student experience.
As Global Mobility Manager, you will lead the management, development and delivery of the University’s global mobility activity, including study abroad, international exchange, Turing Scheme, Erasmus+ and Junior Year Abroad programmes. You will develop operational plans, manage mobility partnerships and work closely with Academic Schools, Academic Registry, Student Services and international partners to deliver high-quality, student-centred mobility opportunities.
A key part of the role will be ensuring effective programme management, compliance and financial performance. You will oversee student recruitment, selection, preparation and support, manage externally funded mobility activity, monitor participation and outcomes, and develop opportunities to grow fee-paying study abroad activity. You will also lead the Global Mobility team, manage agreed budgets and contribute to the development of future European and international mobility programmes.

About You
You will be an experienced higher education professional with experience of managing international mobility, study abroad or related international programmes, together with a strong understanding of mobility schemes such as Turing and Erasmus+.
You Will Bring
- Strong knowledge of international student mobility programmes, study abroad and exchange models.
- Experience of managing international mobility or study abroad programmes within higher education.
- Experience of managing staff and delivering services within a complex organisation.
- Experience of managing or supporting externally funded mobility schemes, such as Turing or Erasmus+.
- Experience of partnership management and stakeholder engagement.
- Strong project management, organisational, planning and analytical skills.
- Experience of managing budgets and monitoring financial performance.
- Strong communication, influencing and relationship management skills.
- Experience of leading projects, managing change and influencing colleagues across organisational boundaries.
