Job Description

Salary: up to £45,000 depending upon experience

Working Arrangement: Hybrid


About the Role

As a Global Mobility Specialist, you will support the business with all things Global Mobility – including immigration, relocation, policy, and tax. You will act as a point of contact for the business and our employees, supporting the assignment lifecycle from planning to relocation and repatriation.

You will also support with broader HR compliance matters – including monitoring of legislative updates and policy/process changes required, employee education of compliance matters. Supporting internal and external audits of HR matters, HR reporting, and input to our Annual Report.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the point of contact for mobility-related queries from employees, managers, and regional teams
  • Advise the business and employees on immigration requirements relating to assignments, transfers, and short-term business trips – working with an external immigration provider for advice in relation to complex cases
  • Assist with the visa application process for UK visas and management of our SMS system and sponsor license
  • Assist with the planning and administration of assignments and relocations – advising the business and employees as to GM policy and application, draft assignment documentation, and coordinate relocation
  • Working alongside colleagues in our Tax, Global HR, and business functions to ensure compliance and deliver an exceptional mobility experience for our employees and our business
  • Support with the implementation of a GM policy framework, as well as regularly reviewing and updating these as market trends dictate
  • Support with vendor selection and management for tax, immigration, and relocation
  • Support the Global Mobility Manager in the strategic development of mobility at Renishaw, keeping abreast of market trends and technical updates

Key Requirements

  • Demonstratable experience in a similar role (in practice or in-house) and able to demonstrate knowledge and/or experience in Global Mobility
  • Strong knowledge of end-to-end immigration processes – particularly UK, though wider global knowledge would be a plus
  • Experience working with stakeholders across business functions (Tax, Finance, Payroll, Benefits) on potential issues related to cross-border movement
  • Experience managing end-to-end mobility processes, including coordination with external vendors
  • Strong communication skills to explain Global Mobility-related matters clearly to a diverse audience
  • Ability to organize tasks, manage time effectively, and handle multiple deadlines and business demands
  • Proven ability to multi-task competently and work independently
  • Good stakeholder management skills - a proactive, collaborative approach to work and problem-solving
  • Good communication skills - written and verbal

Desirable Requirements

  • Familiarity with Workday is a plus
