Global Network Manager | up to £80,000 + bonus | Remote, UK
Most "global network managers" oversee an outsourced provider. This one owns the network. Lead a fully in-house team running a worldwide Cisco and Azure estate, and set the roadmap for where it goes next.
About our client
A large international business operating across a widely distributed global footprint. Its network is insourced from end to end: hundreds of sites connected back to on-premises data centres and multiple Azure regions, run by its own engineers rather than a carrier. A planned leadership change has opened this Global Network Manager role, with scope likely to grow over time.
What you'll be doing
- Leading a remote network operations team across Asia and North America, including a team supervisor
- Owning service performance, P1 escalations, patching and monthly SLA reporting to senior leadership
- Setting the global network roadmap, engineering standards and service catalogue
- Producing HLDs, LLDs and costed options for new projects, and presenting them to non-technical stakeholders
- Running asset lifecycle and refresh programmes, site openings and acquisition integrations
- Balancing BAU and project demand within an ITIL change framework

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
