GSC Operational Excellence Manager
Gloucestershire HQ | Global travel
Up to £75,000 + £10,000 car allowance + 14% pension
We’re recruiting an experienced Operational Excellence Manager to join a global manufacturing organisation and take a leading role in driving Continuous Improvement across an international site network.
This is a highly visible position with responsibility for deploying and developing a consistent Operational Excellence framework across 11 global sites, working closely with manufacturing and site leadership teams to improve performance, capability and accountability.
You’ll take ownership of the global Continuous Improvement portfolio, helping prioritise initiatives and ensuring programmes deliver measurable improvements across cost, productivity, quality and efficiency.
What you’ll be doing:
- Lead the global rollout and development of the Operational Excellence framework
- Drive Lean and Continuous Improvement programmes across multiple manufacturing sites
- Own and prioritise the global CI portfolio
- Develop consistent governance, KPIs and ways of working across the site network
- Partner with site leadership teams to develop OpEx and CI roadmaps
- Build Lean capability through coaching, training and tools including VSM, Kaizen and Standard Work
- Track benefits realisation, productivity improvements and validated cost savings
- Lead maturity assessments and support sites in progressing their Operational Excellence capability
- Share best practice across the global manufacturing network
- Lead change programmes that embed sustainable improvement rather than short-term fixes

What we’re looking for:
You’ll already have significant Operational Excellence or Continuous Improvement experience within a global manufacturing environment, with a strong track record of delivering measurable improvements across multiple sites.

Ideally you’ll bring:
- Strong Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement expertise
- Experience leading multi-site or global CI programmes
- Proven delivery of cost, productivity and quality improvements
- Experience managing CI portfolios, governance and benefits realisation
- Strong change and transformation experience
- The ability to influence senior stakeholders across different sites and cultures
- Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification would be advantageous
The role is based from Cheltenham HQ and will involve regular global travel across the manufacturing network.
Package:
- Up to £75,000 basic salary
- £10,000 car allowance
- 14% pension
