As a Global Operations Centre Controller at Securitas, you’ll do more than monitor systems—you’ll be at the heart of protecting people, property, and critical information on a global scale. Your calm, focused approach will help maintain operational continuity, ensuring incidents are detected, assessed, and managed effectively while supporting those who rely on the GOC every day🛡️

Whether you’re responding to alarms, monitoring CCTV and access control systems, coordinating incident response, or communicating with key stakeholders, as a Global Operations Centre Controller you’ll be an essential part of something bigger. Operating within a fast‑paced, high‑responsibility environment, your role will support business‑critical operations while upholding the highest standards of integrity, vigilance, and professionalism.

Job Description

Responsibilities

You’ll play a vital part in keeping people, property, and information safe. That includes:

  • Alarm and CCTV monitoring all global offices and events
  • Assessing incidents calmly and effectively, escalating and coordinating responses in line with procedures
  • Professionally, quickly and compassionately handle calls/Slack messages reporting security/safety events, including P0 incidents, protesters, harassment/assault (onsite and offsite), elevator entrapment, fire, unauthorised access and many more incidents
  • Ensuring compliance with operational, regulatory, and client‑specific security processes
  • Supporting emergency and business‑continuity protocols, including incident management, evacuations, and critical response coordination
  • Maintaining constant vigilance, accurately recording incidents, and proactively reducing risk and disruption
  • Completing detailed logs, reports, and handovers to ensure clear communication and continuity between shifts

Qualifications

What we’re looking for:

We’re looking for someone who sees a different world—someone who values teamwork, shows initiative, and wants to grow. Ideally, you’ll have:

  • Previous experience within a control room, SOC, or operational security environment is essential
  • A valid CCTV Licence is required, or the willingness and ability to obtain one
  • Advanced IT proficiency with a high level of competence across security technologies, reporting systems, and Microsoft Office applications
  • Demonstrated experience in incident management, including response, reporting and appropriate escalation
  • Proven ability to remain calm and effective in high-pressure situations, with strong decision making skills
  • Excellent situational awareness, with the ability to assess risks and respond proactively

  • Excellent communication skills, with a very high standard of written and spoken English and confidence liaising with internal teams and external stakeholders
  • Flexibility to work a rotating shift pattern, including days, nights, weekends, and bank holidays
  • The right to work in the UK, with the ability to meet relevant screening and vetting requirements
