Global Payroll Implementation Specialist - GPIS

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Global Payroll Implementation Specialist - GPIS based in United Kingdom.

This role offers the opportunity to become a technical specialist in global payroll implementation within a fully remote, international environment. You will manage the setup and transition of new customers onto a global payroll platform, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and delivery within agreed timelines. The position combines payroll expertise, technical configuration, data management, customer engagement, and process improvement. You will work directly with customers and multiple internal stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver seamless payroll implementations. The role also provides an opportunity to improve processes through automation, contribute to platform testing, and strengthen documentation and operational standards. Success requires strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, ownership, and the ability to manage multiple projects independently. You’ll join a globally distributed team that values asynchronous collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Accountabilities

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for payroll customers, ensuring their payroll requirements are accurately understood and transitioned into the appropriate payroll products and services.
  • Analyze customer payroll needs and provide practical recommendations based on payroll processes, statutory requirements, and country-specific considerations.
  • Manage new customer implementations end to end, including collecting required customer and employee payroll data for each legal entity and configuring the global payroll system.
  • Coordinate parallel payroll runs, reconcile wage-based taxes, and verify that payroll and tax configurations comply with applicable statutory regulations.
  • Coordinate payroll go-live activities and ensure accurate, complete payroll information is successfully handed over to the Payroll Operations team.
  • Maintain clear, timely communication with customers, teammates, supervisors, and vendors while building positive working relationships that support customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Provide customer and employee support and training on payroll processes and country-specific payroll requirements, ensuring requests and issues receive accurate information and effective follow-up.
  • Protect the confidentiality of customer and employee information throughout implementation and ongoing interactions.
  • Contribute to the creation and maintenance of process documentation and work with internal teams on platform improvements, including UAT testing through release.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
