About The Team

We are looking for a Global Payroll Manager to take full ownership of our Pan-European payroll operations. This role is ideal for a seasoned payroll leader with deep, hands-on Pan-EU payroll experience—particularly across key markets like France and Germany—who thrives in establishing scalable processes and leading regional operational excellence.

Reporting to the Global Payroll Director, you will oversee end-to-end European payroll delivery, lead external vendor partnerships, ensure strict statutory compliance, and drive process optimization across our expanding European entities.

What You'll Do

  • Operational Leadership: Lead and oversee end-to-end payroll processing across multiple European countries (Pan-EU footprint), ensuring accurate, compliant, and timely payroll execution.
  • Regional Expertise: Act as the primary subject matter expert for French payroll operations, while strategically managing payrolls across other European markets, including Germany, the Netherlands, Spain, Belgium, Italy, and the UK.
  • Vendor & Partner Management: Drive external payroll provider management, evaluating vendor performance, negotiating SLAs, and holding partners accountable to standard metrics.
  • Compliance & Audit: Safeguard compliance with evolving local labor laws, tax legislation, and social security regulations across all European jurisdictions; lead internal and external payroll audits.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with regional HR Business Partners, Legal, Finance, and Global Mobility teams to ensure seamless data flows, variance resolution, and aligned financial reporting.
  • Process Standardisation & Transformation: Design, standardize, and scale European payroll operations; leverage digital tools and automation to optimize workflow efficiency and data integrity.

What We're Looking For

  • Experience: 6+ years of progressive in-house global/European payroll experience, with a strong background in Pan-European (Pan-EU) payroll management within a multi-country setup.
  • Core Expertise: Deep, hands-on knowledge of French payroll compliance and regulations is essential; strong practical expertise in German payroll or other major European jurisdictions is highly preferred.
  • Language Requirements: Fluency in Mandarin Chinese and English is required to seamlessly communicate with global headquarters, regional teams, and key internal stakeholders. Additional European languages are a plus.
  • Leadership & Stakeholder Management: Proven capability to lead complex payroll initiatives, manage external vendors, and influence cross-functional business stakeholders in a fast-paced global business.
  • Analytical & Strategic Mindset: Exceptional analytical skills with a focus on risk mitigation, internal controls, process improvement, and system optimization.
  • Tech-Forward: Passionate about leveraging AI, automation, and modern payroll technology to drive measurable improvements in operational efficiency and accuracy.
