Global Payroll Manager – Strategic Client Accounts
Location: London Schedule: Full-Time, Monday to Friday 9:00-17:30 Work Arrangement: Hybrid - 3 days office
About the Role
We're looking for an experienced Global Payroll Manager to act as the primary relationship manager for strategic multinational payroll clients, including leading private equity and alternative investment firms. This role combines global payroll coordination, stakeholder management, and payroll advisory support.
You will serve as the main point of contact for your clients, coordinating with CSC's network of local payroll specialists to ensure a seamless client experience across multiple jurisdictions. Beyond managing payroll delivery, you will provide practical guidance, drive continuous improvement, and help clients navigate payroll-related challenges and regulatory developments.
Success in this role requires strong UK payroll expertise, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build trusted relationships with both clients and internal stakeholders.
Some of the Things You'll Be Doing
- Own and develop relationships with strategic global payroll clients, acting as a trusted point of contact for senior client stakeholders.
- Coordinate payroll delivery across multiple jurisdictions.
- Take ownership of client questions and issues through to resolution.
- Lead coordination between clients and CSC's global network of payroll specialists, ensuring clear ownership, communication, and timely resolution of matters.
- Provide payroll advisory support and practical business guidance.
- Lead service review meetings, governance calls, and stakeholder engagement activities.
- Build strong relationships with local payroll teams and key client contacts.
- Identify risks, trends, regulatory developments, and process improvement opportunities.
- Support payroll implementations, transitions, and service enhancements.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve service quality and client satisfaction.
What Technical Skills, Experience, and Qualifications Do You Need?
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years' experience in global payroll, payroll operations, or payroll management.
- Strong UK payroll knowledge, including PAYE, National Insurance, statutory payments, year-end reporting, and workplace pension auto-enrolment requirements.
- Experience managing or overseeing multi-country payroll operations.
- Proven client-facing and stakeholder management experience.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to coordinate activities across multiple countries and teams.
- Experience translating technical payroll matters into practical business advice.
- Proficiency with payroll systems and Microsoft Office applications.

Preferred Qualifications
- CIPP qualification or equivalent payroll certification.
- Experience working within a payroll outsourcing or managed services environment.
- Experience supporting multinational clients.
- Experience within financial services, asset management, or other regulated industries.
- Experience with payroll implementations, service transformations, or process improvement initiatives.
