Description & Requirements
The energy of a newsroom, the pace of a trading floor, the buzz of a recent tech breakthrough; we work hard, and we work fast - while keeping up the quality and accuracy we're known for. It's what keeps us inventing and reinventing, all the time. Our culture is wide open, just like our spaces. We bring out the best in each other through collaboration. Through our countless volunteer projects, we also help network with the communities around us, too. You can do amazing work here. Work you couldn't do anywhere else. It's up to you to make it happen.
What's the Role?
At Bloomberg, our people are our most valuable asset. Enabling their success directly contributes to the success of our business. As a member of the Global People Services (GPS) team, you will play an important role in delivering a seamless onboarding experience for new hires across EMEA.
In this 12-month fixed-term role, you will take ownership of the onboarding experience for new hires across EMEA, providing clear, accurate and timely guidance, coordinating with colleagues across HR and the wider organisation to help ensure a smooth transition into Bloomberg. You'll anticipate employee needs, proactively resolve issues and use sound judgment to ensure employees feel informed and supported throughout their onboarding journey.
Alongside onboarding, you'll support aspects of the employee offboarding process, including conducting exit interviews and capturing meaningful insights from departing employees. You'll also have opportunities to contribute to GPS projects and process improvements, helping us continually improve how we deliver these important employee experiences.
This is a role for someone who enjoys combining people interaction with operational excellence. You'll manage a high volume of activity while maintaining accuracy, exercise sound judgment when navigating sensitive situations, and look for opportunities to simplify and improve the way we work.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
