We are seeking an experienced Global Petroleum Engineering Subject Matter Expert to lead technical quality assurance across proposals and project delivery while driving innovation and technical excellence within our consulting portfolio. In this highly visible role, you will collaborate with global leadership and cross-functional teams to shape complex engagements and advance our technical capabilities.
As a Global Petroleum Engineering Subject Matter Expert, you will be responsible for:
- Acting as a global technical authority, ensuring quality assurance across proposals and consulting project deliverables with commercial or public visibility
- Conducting peer reviews for high-complexity, high-risk, or high-visibility projects to ensure technical rigor and consistency
- Leading and supporting complex, multi-disciplinary customer engagements across GaffneyCline business units
- Providing technical leadership in shaping strategic client decisions and developing innovative approaches to problem-solving
- Collaborating with sales and commercial teams to deliver technical due diligence and strengthen value propositions for bids and tenders
- Acting as a global focal point to partner with HQ and regional leadership in optimizing workflows, improving delivery efficiency, and expanding the service portfolio
- Driving technical excellence by identifying and implementing new technologies, methodologies, and integrated workflows
- Leading multi-discipline project teams and fostering cross-product line collaboration
- Delivering internal and external training programs while mentoring and developing technical talent
- Representing Baker Hughes as a thought leader through publications, presentations, and industry forums
- Ensuring compliance with company policies, including Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) standards

Fuel your passion
To be successful in this role you will:
- Have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a geoscience or petroleum engineering discipline
- Have experience in the oil & gas industry, with deep expertise in petroleum engineering
- Demonstrate strong understanding of the upstream oil & gas value chain and customer drivers
- Have experience working across multiple basins and geographies with knowledge of reservoir characteristics and geological complexities
- Possess advanced proficiency in petroleum engineering workflows, tools, and software
- Demonstrate strong collaboration skills with the ability to influence across global and cross-functional teams
- Be an effective individual contributor with strong leadership and mentoring capabilities
- Desired to have a proven ability to analyze complex problems and deliver practical solutions
- Preferred to have experience in planning, documenting, and executing technical or consulting programs
- Desired to have strong project management and organizational skills
