What you’ll do as Global Process Expert for Cash & Banking:
- Serve as the global subject matter expert for end-to-end Cash & Banking processes, supporting the GPO in defining standard process design, controls, and documentation, ensuring alignment across AP, AR, and Record to Report.
- Define and maintain the global "one way of working" for Cash & Banking, including process maps, policies, standards, controls, RACIs, SLAs, and KPIs, ensuring consistent application and continuous refinement across all regions.
- Establish and enforce robust global Cash and Banking control standards (bank accounts, mandates, payments, connectivity), ensuring compliance with internal policies, audit requirements, and regulatory changes, while maintaining audit-ready processes.
- Partner with ERP, IT, and Data teams to ensure systems support global process design; drive automation of cash postings, bank statement processing, and reconciliations; and implement connectivity and visibility platforms, aligning master data to finance architecture.
- Support timely and accurate bank reconciliations globally; promote continuous reconciliation to ease month-end pressure; conduct root cause analysis and resolve issues to ensure consistent cash balances for financial close.
- Act as a key contact for regional teams and Shared Services on Cash & Banking; support multi-year roadmaps for Faster Close and Finance Transformation; deliver training; lead process forums; and provide expert input for audits and transformation initiatives.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
