Job Description
Key responsibilities May Include:
- Lead the detailed design of end-to-end processes within the assigned process area, ensuring alignment with enterprise objectives and global standards.
- Translate strategic process direction into clear business requirements, process flows, and solution inputs that enable effective delivery.
- Partner with business stakeholders, subject matter experts, data teams, and implementation partners to ensure process, data, and system requirements are integrated.
- Drive process harmonisation by challenging unnecessary local variation and promoting scalable, consistent ways of working.
- Validate solution designs against business requirements, process standards, data integrity needs, and reporting requirements.
- Facilitate workshops and decision forums that build stakeholder alignment, resolve design issues, and support informed decision-making.
- Oversee testing activities for the assigned process area, ensuring defects are identified, resolved, and validated against business needs.
- Enable successful adoption and continuous improvement through support for change management, training, go-live readiness, and post-implementation optimisation.
Role Specific Accountabilities
- Lead the design and implementation of global master data management practices across the organisation.
- Act as the bridge between business process teams, data governance functions and ERP transformation programmes.
- Establish clear ownership, governance and accountability frameworks for enterprise master data.
- Shape the data foundations required for a major ERP transformation programme.
- Influence senior stakeholders globally to align on common standards, controls and ways of working.
- Drive improvements in data quality, consistency and governance maturity across multiple business functions.
- Translate the global process vision into detailed end-to-end process and data designs.
- Lead process harmonisation activities across regions, functions and business units.
- Own process requirements and functional designs supporting SAP ERP implementation.
- Ensure effective integration across adjacent process towers and business capabilities.
- Define master data requirements and ensure alignment with enterprise data standards and MDM frameworks.
- Map business processes to data ownership, governance controls and critical data dependencies.
- Act as the primary process tower interface with the System Integrator during design and deployment.
- Lead process testing activities, defect management and user acceptance sign-off.
- Support business readiness, change management and training activities.
- Partner with Global Process Owners and transformation leaders to drive continuous improvement beyond go-live.
- Support ERP programme readiness by ensuring processes and data structures are aligned ahead of implementation.
- Define and implement global master data standards, policies and workflows.
- Establish governance frameworks that align data management with ERP processes.
- Ensure data consistency, integrity and control across multiple process towers.
- Drive stronger accountability, stewardship and ownership models across the business.
- Prevent data issues at source through effective governance, standards and controls.
- Champion data quality and governance best practices across the organisation.

Experience
- Significant experience leading Master Data Management (MDM), Enterprise Data Management or Data Governance initiatives within large, complex organisations.
- Proven experience translating business processes into master data requirements, governance models and ownership frameworks.
- Experience supporting or delivering large-scale ERP transformation programmes.
- Strong background working across multiple stakeholder groups, influencing without direct authority.
- Demonstrated success establishing data governance frameworks, standards and controls.
- Experience operating as a senior individual contributor, Director-level or equivalent leadership capacity.
- Consulting and transformation experience would be highly advantageous.

Skills
- Deep expertise in Master Data Management (MDM), Data Governance and Enterprise Data Management, including data quality, stewardship and ownership frameworks.
- Strong understanding of business process design, with the ability to translate process requirements into scalable data standards, controls and governance models.
- Experience delivering within large ERP and transformation programmes, ideally involving SAP S/4HANA, Oracle or similar enterprise platforms.
- Exceptional stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to drive alignment across global teams, functions and senior leadership groups.
- A pragmatic, hands-on approach, balancing strategic thinking with execution and delivery.
Qualifications
- Degree in Information Management, Business, Technology, Engineering or a related discipline.
- Relevant Data Management, Governance or ERP certifications are advantageous.
- DAMA, SAP, Oracle or equivalent professional certifications preferred.
