Are you passionate about process improvement and operational excellence? Help design, standardise and optimise Record to Report processes that support business growth worldwide.

This person can be based in our Bath office on a hybrid working model.

At Buro Happold, we're passionate about creating a more sustainable, equitable and resilient world. Our people are at the heart of everything we do, combining technical expertise with collaborative thinking to deliver meaningful impact across the built environment.

As part of our ambitious Future Finance Strategy, we're transforming the way finance supports our global business. We're now looking for a Global Process Lead (Record to Report) to join our growing Finance Shared Services team and play a pivotal role in shaping and standardising finance processes across our international organisation.

About The Role

This is a unique opportunity to help define and embed a global Record to Report (R2R) operating model across Buro Happold's five regions. Working closely with Finance, Business Services and Digital teams, you'll lead the assessment, design, documentation, governance and continuous improvement of end-to-end R2R processes.

You'll be instrumental in supporting the evolution of our Finance Shared Services function, ensuring processes are efficient, scalable, controlled and capable of supporting future growth.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assess and document current-state R2R processes across multiple regions.
  • Identify process variation, inefficiencies, risks and control gaps.
  • Develop standardised global process documentation and operating standards.
  • Drive process harmonisation and the removal of non-value-added activities.
  • Support the transition of appropriate R2R activities into a Finance Shared Services model.
  • Define process governance, controls, KPIs and service level expectations.
  • Work with stakeholders globally to improve adoption and consistency.
  • Identify opportunities to leverage automation, AI, workflow tools and process optimisation technologies.
  • Partner with Finance, IT and Digital teams to support future ERP and finance system developments.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for Record to Report processes across the organisation.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
