Global Procurement Director: AI, Cloud & Infrastructure

Location: Central London, hybrid working

About the Role

A major global organisation is looking to appoint a Global Procurement Director to lead strategic procurement across AI, cloud, and technology infrastructure.

This is a high-profile leadership role with significant exposure to senior technology executives and a remit covering some of the most strategically important and rapidly evolving areas of enterprise technology.

Role Summary

You will lead procurement strategy across a broad global technology portfolio, including:

  • Artificial Intelligence and emerging AI technologies
  • Large Language Models, AI agents, and specialist AI vendors
  • Cloud platforms and services
  • Technology infrastructure
  • Enterprise software and technology services
  • New and evolving commercial models

This is not a traditional sourcing-led role. The focus is on acting as a strategic commercial partner to senior technology leadership, helping shape how the organisation buys, structures, and manages complex technology partnerships.

You will oversee significant global spend, lead and develop a team of experienced procurement professionals, and work closely with global delivery resources supporting sourcing and contracting activity.

Required Experience

We are looking for a senior procurement leader who combines strong leadership capability with genuine technology expertise.

You should bring:

  • Extensive strategic procurement experience across technology
  • Strong knowledge of AI, cloud, infrastructure, or adjacent technology categories
  • Exposure to emerging technology markets and evolving vendor ecosystems
  • Experience managing major global spend and strategic technology suppliers
  • Strong commercial judgement and the ability to challenge established commercial models
  • Excellent senior stakeholder management skills
  • Experience engaging with C-suite or equivalent technology leadership
  • A strong track record of building and developing high-performing teams
