This role is flexible for location and can be discussed but initial training will be completed in Kendal.

The Role
The role of James Cropper Advanced Materials Product Manager for the global Composite Market is responsible for identifying new products, sales strategies, positioning, sales enablement, pricing, and demand generation to assist the business in achieving its goals. The role will have an in-depth understanding of the customer’s unique needs and be able to communicate those to the wider business to ensure James Cropper Advanced Materials continues to add value for composite customers. Whilst also leveraging this insight to play an active role in new product development, by identifying key products that meet the customers future needs and working alongside the Head of Marketing to deploy portfolio management strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyse nonwoven and composite markets and trends, using that research to inform JAMES CROPPER ADVANCED MATERIALS’s segmentation strategy to develop products and solutions aligned with strategic growth objectives.
- Build a deep understanding of the customer, identify and fill product gaps and generate new ideas that grow market share, improve customer experience, drive growth & increase profitability.
- Play an active role in product development, liaising with key stakeholders to ensure JAMES CROPPER ADVANCED MATERIALS drives innovation that matches market and customers needs.
- Launch new products including positioning and messaging, launching the product, and ensuring salespeople and customers understand the product.
- Develop forward focused portfolio strategy ensuring longevity and added value for customers.
- Understand the value chain and decision-making process for composite and nonwoven markets.
- Identify route to market for products, including new territories, and distribution methods.
- Research and analysis competitor environment and maintain knowledge regarding market trends.
- Identify new opportunities and assist in market led new product development.
- Collaborate alongside internal stakeholders (finance and sales) to develop product pricing and positioning strategies culminating in a clear value proposition.
- Liaise with operations, and technical to determine MOQ, quality standards and manufacturing costs of products in order to inform future product pricing strategy.
- Coordinate with product management teams to prepare product plans and customer journey mapping to increase sales and perform appropriate product pricing.
- Identify and collaborate with internal stakeholders to simplify existing product portfolio and rationalise current product ranges.
- Prepare strategic plans for go to market, marketing and product launches and provide training to sales and distribution channels.
- Monitor and support all marketing activities and coordinate with the team to inform content strategies and marketing channels.
- Produce and execute market growth programmes and assist in the development of product demos, brochures and other marketing collateral tailored for markets and customers ensuring that the sales team has the tools.
