Our client is seeking a commercially minded and creative leader to take a key role in the development and success of its global Open Research / B2B agreements.

Reporting directly to the Head of Customer Success, the Global Program Lead will drive the implementation of global commercial enablement and customer success strategies for Open Research B2B agreements.

Working closely with sales teams and stakeholders across international markets, the role will help maximise the performance, retention, and growth of transformative and Open Research agreements. This is a highly visible, strategic position combining commercial leadership, customer success, data analysis, and programme development.

The successful candidate will act as a trusted advisor on complex commercial matters, identify opportunities through programme data and market insight, and lead the introduction of new models, tools, and approaches that support the continued transition towards Open Access publishing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Shape and implement the commercial strategy for Open Research B2B agreements, working closely with global sales teams across both pre- and post-sales activity.
  • Act as a trusted commercial advisor and key point of escalation for complex, sensitive, or strategically important customer and agreement matters.
  • Own, track, and report on key programme health and performance metrics, translating data into actionable commercial insights and recommendations.
  • Support the continued development of the organisation’s Transformative Agreement programme and wider transition towards Open Access publishing.
  • Develop and oversee the training, tools, and frameworks required by global sales teams to retain and grow Open Research agreement revenue.
  • Identify new ways to demonstrate agreement performance, value, and impact, supporting customer satisfaction, retention, and long-term commercial relationships.
  • Lead and develop a small international team, including colleagues based in the UK and Japan, ensuring consistency across regions while recognising local market requirements.
  • Work cross-functionally to resolve commercial barriers, address customer challenges, and improve the overall performance of Open Research agreements.
  • Lead the rollout of new commercial models, strategic initiatives, and programmes designed to address evolving customer needs and market challenges.
  • Drive continuous improvement across commercial processes, tools, and approaches within a rapidly evolving Open Research environment.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
