Global Project Planning Manager

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Global Project Planning Manager based in United Kingdom.

As Global Project Planning Manager, you will help shape and maintain consistent project scheduling standards across a global organization.

You will strengthen planning capabilities across regions and support teams in delivering complex projects on time and to a high standard.

The role combines strategic planning, technical expertise, coaching, and quality assurance across an international project environment.

You will work closely with regional project teams during tendering, project initiation, execution, and review phases.

Your expertise will help establish realistic baselines, identify scheduling risks, and improve the reliability of project forecasts.

You will also drive continuous improvement and promote best practices across a diverse network of planning professionals.

This is an influential role suited to an experienced planner who enjoys working across cultures and leading through expertise rather than direct authority.

Accountabilities

  • Develop, standardize, implement, and continuously improve global project planning methods, processes, tools, and scheduling standards across regions.
  • Support regional project teams during tender and early project phases by helping develop realistic, feasible, and high-quality baseline schedules.
  • Review project schedules to assess feasibility, consistency, completeness, quality, and potential execution risks.
  • Conduct project planning quality assessments, due diligence reviews, and regional project reviews to strengthen scheduling reliability.
  • Train, coach, and support regional project schedulers on planning systems, tools, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Help ensure appropriate qualification, capability, and availability of project scheduling resources across global regions.
  • Provide expert guidance on project scheduling requirements and support teams in addressing complex planning challenges.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement initiatives that enhance schedule accuracy, consistency, and reliability.
  • Communicate complex planning information and recommendations clearly to project teams, regional stakeholders, and leadership.
  • Influence planning practices across international teams, promoting high standards without relying on direct managerial authority.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
