Role Summary
The Global QA Director is responsible for establishing, maintaining, and continuously evolving world-class QA standards across Testronic's global testing operations.
This role provides leadership, direction, and oversight for QA excellence across all test floors, ensuring consistency in delivery quality, testing methodologies, operational effectiveness, and customer outcomes. While the position does not have direct line management responsibility, it plays a critical leadership role through influence, coaching, capability development, and close partnership with operational teams and senior leaders across the business.
The Global QA Director will work closely with QA Leads, Senior Leads, Operational Leadership, Program Management, and Account Management teams to elevate testing standards, strengthen delivery performance, and drive continuous improvement across all locations.
This is a highly visible leadership role that requires a strong technical QA background combined with excellent customer-facing skills, the ability to quickly establish credibility on the test floor, and experience leading large-scale QA organizations through growth and transformation.
Key Responsibilities
QA Excellence & Operational Leadership
- Define, implement, and maintain world-class QA standards across all Testronic testing operations
- Ensure consistency, quality, and effectiveness of QA delivery across all sites and service lines
- Partner with operational leadership to identify improvement opportunities and raise overall testing performance
- Establish clear, measurable definitions of quality, performance, and delivery excellence
- Drive a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence across the organization
- Build credibility quickly with testing teams and leadership through visible engagement and hands-on support

Capability Development & Team Growth
- Support the development and upskilling of QA Leads, Senior Leads, and broader QA teams across multiple locations
- Share best practices, coaching frameworks, and leadership development approaches that improve testing effectiveness
- Help build scalable QA capabilities that support business growth and evolving client requirements
- Partner with Talent Acquisition, HR, and Learning & Development to define competencies, career paths, and training programs
- Promote leadership readiness and succession planning across QA functions
Data-Driven Quality Management
- Define and monitor key QA performance metrics, including quality, throughput, rework, efficiency, utilization, and defect discovery effectiveness
- Use data and trend analysis to identify risks, opportunities, and areas requiring operational focus
- Drive continuous refinement of workflows, reporting practices, and quality controls based on measurable outcomes
- Support the implementation of tools, automation, and process improvements that increase efficiency while maintaining quality standards
Innovation, Automation & Technology
- Identify opportunities to leverage automation, AI, and emerging technologies to improve QA effectiveness and scalability
- Partner with Technology, Data, and Operations teams to evaluate and implement innovative QA solutions
- Ensure testing environments, tooling, and methodologies remain aligned with industry best practices and future business needs
Customer & Cross-Functional Partnership
- Act as a trusted advisor to internal stakeholders and clients on QA quality, testing practices, and delivery excellence
- Collaborate closely with Program Management, Account Management, Operations, and Delivery teams to align testing capabilities with client requirements
- Support for the commercial team, including oversight and leadership of Pilots as and when they arise.
- Ensure QA standards support both operational efficiency and exceptional customer outcomes
- Represent QA excellence during client engagements, audits, reviews, and strategic discussions where required

Requirements
- Extensive experience leading QA functions within large-scale video game testing environments
- Proven experience managing, developing, and upskilling large QA organizations and distributed teams
- Deep expertise in testing methodologies, test planning, defect management, risk assessment, reporting, and quality assurance best practices
- Demonstrated success establishing and scaling standardized QA processes across multiple teams, projects, or locations
- Strong technical background combined with a customer-oriented mindset
- Experience using data, KPIs, and operational metrics to drive performance improvements and business outcomes
- Proven ability to influence without direct authority and build alignment across diverse stakeholder groups
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into business impact
- Strong collaboration skills and a reputation as a highly effective team player
- Ability to quickly establish credibility and trust with teams at all levels of the organization
- Willingness and ability to travel internationally on a regular basis.
Nice to Have
- Experience within outsourced services or managed service delivery environments
- Experience implementing or scaling AI-enabled QA solutions and test automation capabilities
- Background supporting rapid organizational growth, transformation, or global expansion
- Experience designing training programs, competency frameworks, and career development pathways
- Familiarity with utilization management, operational efficiency metrics, and cost-to-serve models
