Job Description Summary
The Electrification Global Root Cause Analysis (RCA) Leader role sits at the intersection of technical leadership, coaching, and operational excellence. This position is responsible for managing the end-to-end Major Customer Events process, ensuring technical rigor and operational efficiency in problem-solving of high-impact customer quality issues across GE Vernova's Electrification segment.
The role requires strong technical leadership and coaching of cross-functional teams, ensuring that all Major Events RCA processes are robust, compliant, and closed within established timelines. It will foster a culture of systematic problem-solving, embed best practices, reduce waste, and keep the Voice of the Customer at the forefront of every investigation.

Job Description
Essential Responsibilities:
Operational Oversight
- Lead Customer Major Events and RCA problem-solving; own RCA closure cycle time and facilitate problem-solving on cross-BL major events, with a strong focus on closure within 90 days.
- Chair the Monthly RCA Review to validate the robustness of investigations, closure evidence, and systemic root causes.
- Own Electrification recurrence analysis and its linkage to GE Vernova Zero Defect Framework.
Coaching & Capability Building
- Act as the primary 8D and problem-solving coach for all Major Customer Event RCA Leaders, driving proficiency in key methodologies including Lean, 8D, Six Sigma, and more to deliver high-quality, sustainable solutions.
- Build an Electrification RCA Coach Certification Program, including training, assessment, and train-the-trainer components.

Performance Governance
- Run the required operating rhythm, including Electrification Major Events RCA review calls, to track progress, resolve blockers, and share cross-functional learnings.
Data Integrity & Reporting
- Own the RCA methodology aligned to Quality Suite, ensuring all RCA records are accurate and up-to-date.
KPI Management
- Own reporting of Major Events and RCA progress via the Electrification KPI Bowler, providing leadership with clear visibility into quality performance.
Process Excellence
- Identify bottlenecks in the RCA workflow and implement systematic improvements to streamline issue resolution and reduce rework.
Stakeholder Partnership
- Partner with cross-functional teams across Commercial, Design, Sourcing, Project, Production, Field Services, and Quality within Electrification and across GE Vernova businesses to ensure consistent application of RCA standards.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline from an accredited institution, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Significant practical experience within Power Generation, Transmission & Distribution, or other heavy industrial sectors
- Demonstrated experience leading complex root cause investigations, corrective actions and systemic quality improvement initiatives
- Strong alignment with the GE Vernova Way culture and values.
- Proven mentoring and coaching abilities; able to motivate and inspire a team
- Demonstrated ability to lead and influence in matrix organizations without direct authority
- Experience with data governance and data-driven decision making
Desired Characteristics
- Advanced Quality Methodology Expertise: Demonstrated depth in applying 8D, Lean, statistical quality tools, FMEA, CAPA, or similar methodologies to complex, recurring, or systemic quality issues.
- Global Cross-Functional Leadership: Experience leading and aligning diverse technical, engineering, manufacturing, quality, and operational teams across multiple functions, businesses, or regions.
- Advanced Analytical Capability: Strong ability to interpret complex failure data, identify patterns and systemic trends, and translate findings into robust technical, corrective, and preventive action plans.
- Product Reliability Focus: Experience supporting product reliability, field quality, failure reduction, or continuous improvement programs within complex engineering or industrial environments.
- Communication & Stakeholder Management: Exceptional ability to provide clear, concise, and professional updates to senior leaders, customers, and internal stakeholders, particularly during high-visibility or critical quality events.
- Strategic & Proactive Mindset: Self-motivated and able to manage multiple competing priorities while balancing immediate issue resolution with long-term reliability, risk reduction, and continuous improvement objectives.
- Quality Systems & Tools: Familiarity with quality reporting platforms, corrective action tracking systems, failure databases, and data management tools.
