Job Description
Company Description
We’re the world’s leading sports technology company, at the intersection between sports, media, and betting. More than 1,700 sports federations, media outlets, betting operators, and consumer platforms across 120 countries rely on our know-how and technology to boost their business.
Job Description
This role is for a builder who loves coaching. Early this year, Sportradar launched its first Sales Development function. The team now generates pipeline across more than ten product lines in four regions, partners closely with Account Executives and owns its own pipeline. The foundations and the culture are set. What comes next is making the motion consistent, measurable, and scalable.
You will be the first dedicated manager of this team, reporting to the Senior Director of Sales Development and Enablement. Your focus is people: getting the absolute best from every SDR, building the standards they operate to, and shaping how Sales Development evolves as the business grows.
We want someone who has built a founding SDR team before, knows what great looks like in B2B SaaS, and is excited to rip up what isn't working and try again, in a business at the forefront of sport.
THE CHALLENGE
- Coaching and performance: Run a consistent coaching cadence across every region: 1:1s, call and email reviews, sequence feedback, and skill development plans. Raise the bar on quality, not just volume.
- Playbooks and standardisation: Revamp the SDR playbook (still a work in progress!) and create shared standards across regions, while leaving room for what works locally. Make “how we prospect” something every SDR can explain and repeat.
- Metrics and accountability: Own team performance against meetings held, SQOs, pipeline generated, and outbound activity. Define and enforce the activity standards that drive them, including calling discipline.
- Onboarding and ramp: Build a structured ramp path that gets new SDRs productive faster, and prove it with data.
- SDR to AE partnership: Strengthen the handoff so every meeting lands with the right context. Build trust with sales leaders and turn sceptics into advocates.
- Competitive and market readiness: Partner with Enablement and Product Marketing to upskill SDRs in competitive and product knowledge across the portfolio.
- AI and future-proofing: Lead how the team uses AI to research, personalise, and prioritise. Encourage creativity and experimentation so the SDR role evolves with AI.
- Operating rhythm: Design team cadences, competitions, and rituals that keep energy and focus high across time zones.
- Hiring and development: Partner on hiring and build clear progression paths so top SDRs grow with Sportradar.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
