As an Analyst within the UK FX Hedge Fund Sales team, you will support the coverage of some of the world's most prominent and sophisticated hedge fund clients, helping to deliver best-in-class FX execution, market insight, and advisory services tailored to their specific trading and investment objectives. You will work closely with senior sales professionals, traders, and research analysts to generate ideas, respond to client needs, and contribute to the growth of our UK hedge fund franchise. Your role will provide direct exposure to live markets, complex client interactions, and the full suite of J.P. Morgan's FX products and capabilities, giving you an outstanding foundation for a long-term career in institutional sales.
Job responsibilities
- Support senior sales professionals in the day-to-day coverage of UK hedge fund clients, delivering timely and high-quality execution, market colour, and trading ideas.
- Assist in the execution and processing of FX transactions across spot, forwards, options, and related derivative products, ensuring accuracy and a seamless client experience.
- Monitor market developments, macroeconomic events, and positioning trends to prepare relevant commentary and trade ideas for hedge fund clients.
- Collaborate with trading, research, structuring, and prime brokerage teams to develop and deliver tailored solutions that meet the specific needs of hedge fund clients.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through regular communication, responsiveness, and a deep understanding of each client's investment strategy and objectives.
- Contribute to the preparation of client presentations, pitches, and marketing materials that showcase J.P. Morgan's FX capabilities and market leadership.
- Support the identification of new business opportunities and assist in expanding wallet share within the existing hedge fund client base.
- Engage with internal partners across trading, risk, prime services, and operations to ensure smooth execution and timely resolution of client queries.
- Participate actively in team meetings, training programmes, and broader franchise initiatives to accelerate your professional development.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Demonstrated interest in financial markets, with a particular focus on foreign exchange, macro trading strategies, or institutional sales.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to interpret market data and translate it into clear, actionable insights for clients.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently and professionally with sophisticated institutional clients and internal stakeholders.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment without compromising on quality or accuracy.
- High attention to detail and a strong commitment to accuracy across all aspects of work, including client communications and transaction processing.
- Collaborative team player with a proactive attitude, intellectual curiosity, and a genuine desire to learn and grow within a high-performing team.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Prior internship or work experience within FX, macro, or broader capital markets sales or trading, ideally with exposure to hedge fund clients.
- Familiarity with FX products and derivatives, including spot, forwards, vanilla and exotic options, and related structured solutions.
- Understanding of hedge fund investment strategies, including global macro, systematic, and quantitative approaches, and their implications for FX flow.
- Experience using market data and analytics platforms such as Bloomberg or Reuters in a professional or academic context.
- Additional language skills that would support client coverage across a broader international hedge fund client base.
