About the Role
At the intersection of finance, technology, and global commerce, BCG’s Payments & Fintech sector partners with networks, processors, and digital challengers to reshape financial services, making it one of the most dynamic growth areas within our Financial Institutions Practice Area (FIPA). We seek a Global Sector Senior Manager – Payments & Fintech to act as a strategic partner to the Global Sector Leader and leadership team, shaping and executing the sector’s long-term agenda.
What You'll Do
The Global Sector Senior Manager – Payments & Fintech will drive the sector’s strategic impact through business analysis, program execution, and stakeholder engagement.
- Partner with the Global Sector Leader and leadership team to define, prioritize, and execute the Payments & Fintech sector strategy
- Monitor and analyze sector performance, commercial activity, pipeline trends, and key business metrics, providing actionable insights to inform strategic decisions
- Lead strategic initiatives aligned with sector priorities, driving tangible business outcomes globally
- Manage sector investment priorities and Innovation Fund planning, including budget oversight, governance, and performance monitoring
- Strengthen operating rhythms, leadership forums, and governance processes to ensure effective execution and decision-making
- Collaborate with Marketing and affiliated teams to support sector visibility initiatives, including publications, high-level events, and communications; contribute to knowledge development through projects and BCG Vantage
- Lead affiliation and engagement activities to foster global collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and network development within the Payments & Fintech community
- Partner with the Financial Institutions Management & Operations team to deliver strategic projects and accelerate business growth

What You'll Bring
Ideal candidates bring a mix of strategic leadership, operational expertise, and a passion for shaping the future of financial services:
- 8–12 years of experience in consulting, strategy and business management, operations, or a directly relevant field
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree or equivalent highly preferred
- Proven ability to drive strategic initiatives and manage complex, global programs in a matrixed environment
- Strong business judgment and analytics, with a proven track record of translating data into strategic actions
- Exceptional influencer in senior leadership settings, adept at building credibility across diverse teams and functions
- Excellent written and verbal communication—especially for senior-level materials
- Advanced project and stakeholder management skills, with ability to prioritize effectively and deliver independently
- High discretion and professionalism in handling sensitive business and organizational information
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and collaboration tools

Who You'll Work With
This role will sit within the Financial Institutions Practice Area’s Management & Operations team, reporting to the Global Payments & Fintech Sector Leader. You will:
- Collaborate with Regional Sector Leaders and senior stakeholders globally to align priorities
- Partner with colleagues across BCG Vantage, Marketing, and practice functions to support sector growth and engagement
- Work with broader Financial Institutions strategic teams on mission-critical projects
