We are looking for:

A well-rounded Senior HRBP that will partner with Specialty Polymers business leaders on driving transformation and turnaround agenda within enabling organic and in-organic growth opportunities, improving customer satisfaction, and strengthening our core capabilities within our sites.

You will influence through thoughtful leadership in a heavily matrix organization – both within Specialty Polymers business as well as Global HR function.

You will be part of the Specialty Polymers GBU HR team and will report to GBU HR Leader.

We count on you for:

Strategy:

  • Business Unit and Function Strategy: Influences and contributes towards shaping the GBU HR Strategy with primary focus on deployment of right capabilities enabling organic and in-organic growth opportunities and creating a right culture with focus on customer and business growth.
  • Organization Design: Partners with the Business Leader to review the effectiveness of current organization design and influence the design considerations.
  • Mergers & Acquisitions: Collaborates with M&A Integration team during due diligence phase and further ensures the successful integration of commercial functions with IND BUs Go-To-Market model.
  • Leverage HR Analytics: Analyze trends and metrics as they apply to client groups, develop proactive actions to further support business objectives and people strategy.
  • Strategic Workforce Planning: Strengthen the Strategic workforce capabilities within the commercial function through systematic approach and talent forecasting and planning tools while also building flexibility and agility considering cyclical nature of our business.
  • Culture: Shape and create the culture of accountability by ensuring business leaders are driving the commitment to culture transformation initiatives within their respective business area.

Execution:

  • Project Management: Drives strong project management cadence and effectively manage multiple and competing priorities balancing the focus between business and HR functional priorities.
  • Syensqo HR Operating Model: Leverages on Syensqo HR Operating Model to deliver on best and timely HR services and ensure good understanding of business priorities and projects within the broader HR Community.
  • HR Continuous Improvement: Drive HR operational excellence through ongoing identification of continuous improvement opportunities across HR processes and systems.
  • Talent Acquisition: Ensures putting strong cadence to review performance of TA and Executive Recruitments using standard dashboard and collaborate to effectively resolve any escalations.
  • Global HR Processes & Systems: Ensure smooth compliance with Syensqo Global HR Processes such as Performance management, yearend compensation review etc.
  • Talent Management and Organization Leadership Reviews: Build and execute proactive approach and cadence within the assigned leadership team to drive successors readiness, improvement in capability and employee engagement and inclusion.

Talent:

  • Leadership Coaching: Partner with the Leadership Team to provide advice, creative problem solving and counsel on HR related business matters.
  • Leadership Effectiveness: Coach and counsel senior business leaders in driving their own and team development through systematic use of information from leadership evaluation processes and tools (Leadership assessment, 360 Feedback, Leader simulation, etc.)
  • Succession Pipeline: Put strong cadence and governance to measure progress of succession pipeline for all leadership and critical roles.
  • Self-Development: Foster own development through networking with peers across the GBU and other part of the organization, partnering with CoE Teams on initiatives with common purpose and drive best practice and knowledge sharing within SpP GBU and broadly across Syensqo HR community.
  • Employee Engagement, Inclusion and Diversity: Drive employee engagement through effective communication, programs, and alignment to development and growth opportunities.

You will bring:

  • An undergraduate degree in Human Resources Management with an MBA being highly desired.
  • Experience operating within a large and complex industrial company.
  • At least 8 years of experience as Global/Regional HR business partnering roles within a heavily matrix organization.
  • Strong business and commercial acumen with expertise in Organization Design, Organization Effectiveness, Leadership Development, Coaching and Strategic Workforce planning.
  • Proven experience in partnering with business leaders on driving transformation.
  • Ideally multi-country exposure, including experience in Asia and EMEA.

You will get:

  • The Portuguese annual base salary range reasonably expected to be paid for this new hire is: € 82,000 to € 103,000. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors such as skills, experience, qualification and internal equity and can ultimately be more or less than the posted salary range. The primary location for this job is Portugal; however, it may also be based in other countries. For other countries, local competitive salary conditions will apply, in line with local legislation. Information will be provided before your first interview.
  • 16, or more, weeks of maternity/paternity and co-parenting leave, according to local regulations.

Additional information:

This position requires being based in Portugal or the UK, with the possibility of working fully remote.
