Global SVP Sales

Location: Bracknell, Berkshire, United Kingdom

On behalf of our client, a leading global provider of enterprise cloud Customer Experience (CX) and contact centre solutions at the forefront of Generative AI innovation, Apex Elite is seeking a Global SVP Sales.

This is a strategic leadership opportunity to lead an international sales organisation, shape global sales strategy and drive sustained revenue growth across international markets.

The role is based at our client’s head office in Bracknell, Berkshire. International travel will be required.

About the role

Working closely with senior leadership, you will define and execute a global sales strategy aligned with ambitious business objectives. You will expand the customer base, strengthen strategic relationships and oversee opportunities throughout the full sales lifecycle.

This position combines strategic direction with hands-on commercial leadership and would suit an accomplished sales executive with significant experience in SaaS, technology or a closely related industry.

Key responsibilities

Sales Strategy and Growth

  • Develop and execute a global sales strategy aligned with business objectives.
  • Identify growth opportunities through market analysis and industry insights.
  • Develop compelling sales propositions and contribute to product and go-to-market strategy.
  • Lead the global sales organisation to deliver sustainable, profitable growth.

Sales Performance and Delivery

  • Drive sales targets and revenue objectives across all regions.
  • Oversee pipeline management, opportunity progression and forecasting.
  • Ensure bids, tenders and proposals meet consistently high standards.
  • Personally support the closure of strategic sales opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate sales reporting and business forecasts.

Customer and Partner Relationships

  • Build strong relationships with customers, channel partners and key stakeholders.
  • Position our client as a trusted, long-term business partner.
  • Support customer retention, account growth and strategic partnerships.
  • Represent our client at industry events, conferences and trade shows.

Leadership and Team Development

  • Lead, motivate and develop a high-performing global sales team.
  • Coach and mentor colleagues, supporting the development of future sales leaders.
  • Oversee succession planning and promote accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Recognise performance and behaviours aligned with our client’s values.

Operational Excellence

  • Ensure the right resources, processes and systems are in place to support sales success.
  • Use data and insights to improve sales effectiveness and inform decisions.
  • Monitor performance, implement improvement initiatives and share best practice.
  • Provide regular updates and reporting to senior leadership.

About you

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • Significant direct sales experience within technology, SaaS or a related industry.
  • Experience leading sales teams at Head of Sales, Sales Director, VP Sales or equivalent level.
  • A proven record of developing successful sales strategies and delivering sustained revenue growth.
  • Experience working with channel partners and indirect sales models.
  • Demonstrable success managing opportunities throughout the full sales lifecycle.
  • Exceptional leadership, coaching and people management skills.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, influencing and negotiation skills.
  • Strong commercial awareness and analytical capability.
  • Experience using CRM systems and sales reporting tools.
  • Ability to operate at both strategic and operational levels within a fast-paced international business.
