Global Social & Content Director – Client Side | Maternity Cover
Fixed-Term Contract | 4 Days Office / 1 Day Home
A brilliant opportunity for a senior agency-side Social Director, Digital Director or Head of Social looking to make the move client-side and take ownership of social and content across a large international organisation.
We’re looking for an experienced Social & Content Director to join a global marketing team on a fixed-term maternity cover contract.
This is a senior but hands-on leadership role, owning paid and organic social and content strategy across multiple international markets, while leading and developing a geographically dispersed digital team.
You’ll have the opportunity to take the breadth, pace and strategic thinking of an agency environment and apply it client-side — owning the strategy, building capability in-house and seeing the longer-term impact of the work.
A key focus will be building a social media centre of excellence, driving the transition of organic social activity in-house and ensuring social and content delivers against brand awareness, engagement, commercial and customer objectives.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
