BACKGROUND TO THE ROLE

The Global Social Media Content & Community Assistant supports the development and execution of social-first content, community engagement and cultural conversations across a portfolio of colour cosmetics brands.

Working closely with Global Brand Teams, Creative, Advocacy & Influencer Marketing, Digital Commerce and local markets, this role helps bring brand storytelling to life across social platforms. From content planning and asset management to community insights, social reporting and trend spotting, the role plays a key part in ensuring brands remain culturally relevant, socially engaging and connected to consumers.

This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious marketer looking to develop expertise in content creation, social media strategy, community management and modern brand building within the beauty industry.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Social Content Development

  • Support the creation and execution of global social media content plans across key platforms including TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Pinterest and emerging channels.
  • Assist in building social content calendars aligned with product launches, campaigns and cultural moments.
  • Coordinate social content assets across internal teams, creative partners, agencies and markets.
  • Support briefing, review and approval processes for social-first content.
  • Assist in adapting campaign assets for platform-specific social execution.
  • Maintain content libraries and ensure all assets are organised and accessible globally.

Community Management & Consumer Engagement

  • Support the monitoring of brand communities across social platforms.
  • Track conversations, comments and consumer sentiment to identify opportunities and risks.
  • Assist in community engagement planning and best-practice recommendations for markets.
  • Monitor emerging topics and cultural conversations relevant to the brands.
  • Help identify opportunities to increase brand participation in relevant consumer conversations.
  • Support social listening activities to better understand audience needs and behaviours.
  • Contribute to building stronger consumer communities and advocacy opportunities across the portfolio.

Content Creator & Advocacy Coordination

  • Partner closely with the Influencer Marketing and PR Team to coordinate creator content usage and timing across brand social channels.
  • Assist in managing asset requests and content approvals.
  • Support tracking of content performance and engagement.
  • Help identify social content trends and formats that can be amplified through brand channels.
  • Assist with content organisation and rights management.

Trend & Cultural Insights

  • Monitor emerging platform trends, content formats, social innovations and viral conversations.
  • Track beauty, fashion, entertainment and lifestyle trends influencing consumers.
  • Conduct competitive social audits and benchmarking.
  • Share regular trend reports and inspiration with the wider marketing organisation.
  • Help identify opportunities for real-time content and cultural participation.

Campaign & Launch Support

  • Support the execution of major campaign launches across social platforms.
  • Assist in coordinating global launch assets and market implementation materials.
  • Coordinate social content requirements across cross-functional stakeholders.

Analytics & Reporting

  • Monitor engagement, reach, video views, audience growth and content effectiveness.
  • Support preparation of monthly and quarterly social performance reports.
  • Track campaign performance against KPIs and benchmarks.
  • Help identify opportunities to optimise content strategy and community engagement.

Project & Operational Management

  • Maintain content calendars, project timelines and status trackers.
  • Support budget administration, purchase orders and agency management processes.
  • Support preparation of leadership presentations and social media updates.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

Required Competencies:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, Business or related discipline.
  • Strong understanding of TikTok, Instagram, YouTube and emerging social platforms.
  • Passion for beauty, fashion, culture and consumer trends.
  • Excellent organisational and project management skills.
  • Strong written communication and storytelling ability.
  • Analytical mindset with an interest in data and performance tracking.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Familiarity with social listening, analytics and social media management tools is advantageous.
