What You'll Do
As Strategic Projects Senior Director, you will play a central role in shaping and driving the evolution of the Expertise Advantage Practice Area, comprising BCG Vantage and the Expert Career Track.
In support of the Expertise Advantage PAL, you will act as a key member of the leadership team and serve as the connective tissue between strategy, execution, and day-to-day leadership priorities.
The Strategic Projects function operates as a COO / Chief of Staff–style capability for the practice area. In this role, you will partner closely with the Practice Area Leader, Vantage Business Senior Directors, and Global Practice Area Management Executive Directors to help set direction, drive change, and ensure the most critical priorities are executed with discipline and pace.
This role sits at the intersection of business leadership, operating model evolution, and AI-enabled transformation. You will shape and oversee a portfolio of high-impact initiatives that support the continued evolution of Expertise Advantage’s operating model and accelerate the AI transformation of Expertise and Knowledge, in line with BCG’s broader firmwide agenda.
You will combine senior-level judgment, strong influence, and delivery oversight with selective hands-on engagement—stepping in where needed to unblock progress, support leadership decision making, and ensure the organization is positioned for success in firm-level discussions and governance forums.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
