The Role

As Global Strategic Sourcing Manager, MRO & Indirect Procurement, you’ll drive global sourcing strategies across MRO, Capital Equipment, Technical Services and selected Indirect Procurement categories. You’ll work closely with Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, Finance and regional leadership to optimise costs, strengthen supplier performance and resilience, and deliver sustainable value across Bodycote’s global operations. You’ll also act as Deputy to the Global Director Strategic Procurement, supporting global procurement strategy, governance and transformation initiatives.

Who We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who brings:

  • 8+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, category management or procurement leadership, ideally within industrial manufacturing, engineering or other technical environments
  • Strong experience across MRO, CAPEX, technical services, maintenance or indirect procurement, with a proven track record of delivering measurable savings
  • Strong commercial, negotiation and supplier relationship management skills, with experience managing global suppliers and complex contracts
  • Experience working in multinational, matrix organisations and leading cross-functional projects and change initiatives
  • Strong analytical, financial, project and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively with senior leadership
  • Experience with SAP, procurement systems, spend analytics and e-auctions
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Finance or a related discipline; relevant Master’s degree or procurement certification is an advantage
  • Fluent English required; German and other European languages are an advantage

Location & Work Pattern

This role is based in Germany, France or UK, with hybrid expectations. Some travel may be required (30%) depending on business needs.
