Spark Foundry is looking for a Global Strategy Director to join the team working on Meta, spanning its family of apps and public affairs business.
This is a senior role at the centre of one of the most influential and complex global accounts, covering platforms used by billions of people worldwide. The work sits across multiple business areas, requiring a strong understanding of how audiences behave across products, markets and cultural contexts.

A key focus for this role, and for Spark more broadly, is audience strategy. You’ll play a central role in defining how audiences are understood, built and activated across markets, ensuring strategy is grounded in real insight and translates clearly into planning and execution.
The Role
As Global Strategy Director, you’ll lead the development of audience-led, insight-driven media strategies across international markets. You’ll work closely with global and local teams to ensure strategies are consistent, actionable and built around a clear understanding of people, not just channels.
This role requires someone who can move between big-picture thinking and practical application, connecting audience insight, data, media and creative thinking into a clear strategic direction.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Leading the development of global, audience-first media strategies across Meta’s business areas
- Defining and evolving audience frameworks, ensuring they are actionable across markets
- Working with data, research and platform insights to build a clear understanding of audience behaviour
- Translating strategy into practical guidance for planning teams and local markets
- Acting as a senior strategic partner to clients, bringing clarity and direction to complex challenges
- Leading workshops and strategic conversations with internal teams and stakeholders
- Ensuring alignment between global strategy and local execution
- Championing best practice in audience planning, measurement and effectiveness
What We’re Looking For
- Strong experience in media or communications strategy, ideally within an agency environment
- Proven ability to build audience-led strategies and translate them into planning frameworks
- Deep understanding of digital ecosystems, data and full-funnel media planning
- Experience working across global or multi-market accounts
- Confident communicator, comfortable influencing senior stakeholders
- Ability to simplify complex ideas and bring clarity to strategy
- Collaborative approach, with experience working across multiple teams and disciplines
