Role Description
This is a part-time unpaid volunteer role requiring approximately 6 hours per week. eMigr8 is at pre-seed stage and is building the financial processes and compliance foundations that will support its growth. You will work directly with Beulah, providing bookkeeping support, helping with financial reporting, tracking expenses, and assisting with compliance documentation.
This role suits accounting students or finance professionals early in their career who want practical exposure to startup finance operations.
Responsibilities
- Assist with bookkeeping tasks including categorising transactions and reconciling records
- Support the preparation of financial reports and summaries for leadership review
- Track and log business expenses accurately across projects and cost centres
- Help maintain compliance documentation relevant to startup operations and regulatory requirements
- Flag inconsistencies or anomalies in financial records for review
- Support the finance lead with ad hoc financial administration tasks as needed
Qualifications
- Studying or working in accounting, finance, or a related discipline
- Basic bookkeeping knowledge and familiarity with accounting concepts
- Attention to detail and accuracy with numbers and financial records
- Comfortable with spreadsheets and financial tracking tools
- Discretion with confidential financial information and a reliable approach to deadlines
