I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

The role will start as a part-time unpaid volunteer role pending when the company meets fundraising or ARR metrics.
This role is for a startup at a very early stage (pre-seed stage). You will need to commit volunteer unpaid time (about 6 hrs a week) to map out the B2B landscape, initiate professional outreach, and secure introductory meetings for the leadership team.
Responsibilities
- Identify and map potential B2B partners, including global recruitment firms, tech incubators, and corporate HR teams looking to hire international talent.
- Conduct professional cold outreach and "social selling" via LinkedIn and email to decision-makers (CEOs, Heads of Talent, and HR Directors).
- Pitch eMigr8’s B2B value proposition, focusing on how our AI tools can de-risk international hiring for companies.
- Negotiate and draft initial partnership frameworks or Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) in collaboration with the Legal and Leadership teams.
- Manage a dedicated B2B pipeline, ensuring consistent follow-ups and professional relationship management.
- Represent eMigr8 at virtual industry events, webinars, and networking forums to increase brand visibility in the corporate sector.
- Provide strategic insights to the product team on feature requirements specifically for B2B/Enterprise users.
Qualifications
- Proven experience or a strong interest in Business Development, B2B Sales, or Partnership Management.
- Excellent professional communication skills, with the ability to engage with C-suite executives and senior HR leaders.
- A deep understanding of the tech startup ecosystem and the challenges businesses face regarding global talent shortages.
- Self-motivated and organised, with the ability to manage a long-cycle sales/partnership pipeline independently.
- Persistence and resilience, which are essential for navigating cold outreach and relationship building in an early-stage environment.
- Familiarity with B2B tools such as LinkedIn Sales Navigator and CRM software.
- A strategic thinker who can identify "win-win" scenarios for eMigr8 and its corporate partners.
