Avatar International is partnering with a growing international technology organisation seeking an experienced Global Tax Manager to lead domestic and international tax matters across a diverse multinational group.
This is a strategic role for a commercially minded tax professional who enjoys operating across multiple jurisdictions, partnering with senior stakeholders, driving tax efficiency, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting business growth through effective tax governance and planning.
The Opportunity
The Global Tax Manager will be responsible for managing domestic and international tax matters across the Group, including international tax strategy, transfer pricing, compliance, and audit management, ensuring tax efficiency and regulatory compliance across global entities.
The successful candidate will work closely with Finance, Legal, HR and external advisors to support international operations, acquisitions, tax planning initiatives and ongoing compliance obligations, whilst identifying opportunities to improve efficiency through automation and AI-enabled processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage domestic and international tax matters across the Group, including international tax strategy, transfer pricing, compliance, and audit management.
- Develop and maintain tax-efficient and compliant corporate structures across multiple jurisdictions.
- Support mergers, acquisitions, and strategic business initiatives through tax due diligence, structuring, and integration activities.
- Partner with internal stakeholders on cross-border tax matters, including withholding taxes, permanent establishment risk, and employee mobility considerations.
- Design, implement, and maintain transfer pricing policies and operational frameworks across the organisation.
- Prepare and maintain transfer pricing documentation in accordance with OECD guidelines and local regulatory requirements.
- Lead and coordinate tax audits, enquiries, and reviews from tax authorities globally.
- Oversee global corporate income tax, VAT/GST, and other indirect tax compliance activities.
- Monitor international tax developments and assess their impact on the business.
- Drive continuous improvement, process enhancement, and automation initiatives within the tax function, including the use of AI and emerging technologies.
- Manage external tax advisors to ensure quality, consistency, and cost-effective support.
- Maintain robust tax governance, controls, and audit-ready documentation.

Required Experience
Essential
- Bachelor's degree in Tax, Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related discipline.
- Minimum five years' experience within a Big Four, top-tier advisory firm, and/or multinational corporate environment.
- Strong international tax and transfer pricing expertise across design, implementation, compliance, and audit support.
- Experience operating within a multinational environment spanning multiple jurisdictions.
- Excellent analytical, project management, and stakeholder engagement skills.

Desirable
- CTA, ACA, ACCA, ADIT, CIMA, or equivalent qualification.
- Experience gained within technology, digital, software, or other international growth businesses.
- Exposure to global indirect taxes including VAT, GST, and similar regimes.
- Experience with equity remuneration, payroll taxation, and international mobility programmes.
- Knowledge of ERP platforms and tax technologies.
- Experience applying AI and automation to improve tax operations.

- Strong international corporate tax expertise.
- Advanced transfer pricing knowledge and practical application.
- Working knowledge of OECD principles and documentation requirements.
- Global tax compliance and governance expertise.
- Strong commercial awareness and business partnering capability.
