About Abselion

Abselion is a life science tools company headquartered in Cambridge, UK, working on the next generation of analytical technologies. We have developed a benchtop analytical instrument, called Amperia, which uses proprietary Redox Electrochemical Detection (RED) technology to quantify proteins and viral vectors directly from crude samples in minutes, without purification, and without specialist training.

We work with teams across protein expression, process development and in academia, biotech and pharma across the globe who are tired of waiting days for analytical results that should take minutes.

We are a team who care deeply about the science, move quickly, and believe that the best outcomes come from genuinely understanding and helping customers solve real problems.

The Role

We are looking for a GTM Engineer to join our Sales & Marketing team. The focus of the role is lead generation, while also providing support to our social media marketing and engaging in ongoing improvement of the tools and workflows to empower the wider team day to day, that means running structured outbound campaigns: pre-conference prospecting ahead of major industry conferences, and trigger-based LinkedIn prospecting, to build a steady pipeline of qualified meetings.

Selling a scientific instrument is a long, consultative process. Your job is not to mass outbound blindly; it's to make sure every lead is well-targeted, every conversation is logged, and the sales efforts are focused on the most promising leads.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

  • Run structured outbound prospecting campaigns to generate qualified leads
  • Execute trigger-based prospecting: identifying relevant signals (funding, hires, publications, role changes) and reaching out with targeted, credible messaging.
  • Work alongside the Sales team to hand off warm leads and keep the top-of-funnel moving without relying on a single point of failure.
  • Track and report on outbound response and conversion rates, feeding learnings back into messaging and targeting.

Social media marketing support

  • Support the Marketing function with content and scheduling across our social channels (primarily LinkedIn), helping build Abselion's presence with the scientific and biotech community.
  • Help translate customer wins, conference activity, and product updates into engaging social content, working with the wider Sales & Marketing team on messaging.

Tools & systems improvement

  • Help maintain and improve the CRM (HubSpot) and the wider GTM tool stack: flagging friction, fixing broken workflows, and suggesting practical automations.
  • Support lead enrichment and data hygiene so the sales team starts every conversation informed.
  • Document processes so the tools and workflows you improve are adopted, not abandoned.

Requirements (Essential)

  • 2–5 years in a role combining sales/marketing operations with hands-on technical building, e.g. GTM Engineer, RevOps, Sales Operations, Marketing Operations, Growth Engineer.
  • Comfort writing code: Python, JavaScript, or similar; SQL; familiarity with APIs, webhooks, and no-code/low-code automation tools (Clay, n8n, Zapier, Make).
  • Practical experience using LLMs and AI tools in production workflows, not just chat, but building automations that call models, parse outputs, and act on them.
  • Deep, hands-on expertise with HubSpot, not just using it, but configuring, automating, and integrating it.
  • Strong analytical mindset, able to define metrics, build dashboards, and tell the story behind the numbers.
  • Some exposure to social media content or scheduling for a brand or organisation.
  • Strong written communication: this role does a lot of outbound messaging and content, so clarity and tone matter.
