About BFY

BFY Group is one of the UK's fastest-growing management consultancies, trusted by leading organisations across Energy, Utilities and Private Equity. We build long-term partnerships with our clients, helping them solve complex challenges, unlock opportunities and deliver lasting value.

What sets us apart is our combination of deep industry expertise and practical consulting experience. We don't believe in producing reports that sit on shelves—we work alongside our clients to deliver meaningful outcomes, combining strategic thinking with hands-on delivery.

We're proud to have been recognised as one of the UK's Leading Management Consultancies by the Financial Times, featured in The Sunday Times Hundred as one of the UK's fastest-growing private companies and recognised as a Great Place to Work.

Our ambition is simple: deliver exceptional work for our clients, create a brilliant place for our people to build their careers, and continue growing sustainably without losing the culture that makes BFY different.

About the Role

Growth Operations is a core capability within BFY's operating model, responsible for enabling the successful delivery of our business strategy and growth across the firm.

Working closely with Client, Product and capability Leads you'll help shape how BFY brings its expertise to market, develops client relationships and continually evolves the way we work to meet changing client needs.

This role is about much more than business development. It is about helping the whole firm work together more effectively to meet evolving client needs, create greater value for clients and ensure we continue delivering the exceptional quality that BFY is known for.

Working across marketing, growth enablement, and the wider firm, you'll develop practical approaches, tools and ways of working that strengthen our commercial capability, simplify how we operate and help our people focus their time where it creates the greatest impact for clients.

What success looks like?

Your primary purpose is to help BFY grow by creating more opportunities to deliver value for clients. You'll strengthen how we identify emerging client needs, develop trusted relationships, bring our expertise to market and support the growth of both new and existing client accounts.

If you're successful, BFY will have stronger client relationships, a strong pipeline of high-quality opportunities and greater long-term account growth because of the commercial capability and ways of working you've helped build across the firm.

Top Priorities:

  • Grow Client Opportunities by strengthening how BFY identifies emerging client needs, develops new relationships and creates opportunities across both new & existing clients.
  • Strengthen our Go-To-Market Capability by equipping the team with the tools, insight, playbooks and approaches that help them engage clients, develop opportunities and pursue work consistently.
  • Improve How We Grow through data, AI and continuous improvement to simplify ways of working, strengthen collaboration and enable sustainable growth across the firm.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

Role Responsibilities

  • Support the delivery of BFY's growth strategy and annual business plan.
  • Develop and embed practical go-to-market approaches across our sectors, capabilities and services.
  • Partner with Client and product Leads to support strategic account development, priority pursuits and long-term client growth.
  • Develop practical frameworks, playbooks, tools and reusable assets that strengthen the firm's commercial capability.
  • Improve opportunity management and proposal development through consistent approaches.
  • Provide commercial insight and reporting to support investment decisions.
  • Identify AI-enabled improvements that simplify ways of working.
  • Share best practice and continually improve BFY's commercial capability.

What we're looking for

This role could be a great fit if you're someone who enjoys building capability, bringing people together and helping businesses grow in a practical, collaborative way.

You might be the right person if you:

  • Enjoy turning strategy into practical action and helping others deliver it successfully.
  • Are naturally commercial and enjoy identifying opportunities to create value for both clients and the business.
  • Like bringing clarity to complexity, creating simple approaches that make it easier for people to do their best work.
  • Have experience working across marketing, business development, account management, client delivery or commercial operations, and enjoy connecting these areas together.
  • Build strong relationships quickly and are comfortable working with senior leaders, influencing without relying on hierarchy.
  • Enjoy improving how organisations work, continually looking for better, simpler and more scalable ways of doing things.
  • Have a curiosity for market trends, client needs and emerging technologies, and can see how they can be translated into practical solutions.
  • Are comfortable balancing strategic thinking with hands-on delivery, moving easily between developing an approach and rolling up your sleeves to make it happen.
  • Get genuine satisfaction from helping others succeed and creating an environment where people can deliver exceptional outcomes for clients.
  • Thrive in a growing business where you'll have the freedom to shape new ideas, challenge constructively and make a visible impact.

We'd particularly love to hear from you if...

  • You've worked in a management consultancy or a professional services environment and understand what it takes to win, grow and deliver client work.
  • You've helped develop go-to-market approaches, commercial capability or growth initiatives that have made a measurable difference.
  • You're excited by the opportunity to help shape a new capability within a growing consultancy rather than stepping into a well-established corporate function.
  • You enjoy working across teams, building trusted relationships and helping people achieve more together than they could individually.
  • You're energised by variety, comfortable with ambiguity and motivated by making things better every day.

What we’re offering

  • Competitive package up to £130k based on experience including pension and biannual bonus scheme (in line with performance reviews)
  • 33 days holidays (25 days plus 8 bank holidays) and a holiday purchase scheme
  • Receive 1 additional day of holiday per year after 2 years of service (up to 5 extra days)
  • Private medical insurance for you and cohabiting partners and children under 18
  • Access to high-quality support through our wellbeing partners Plumm Health and Mintago
  • Option for additional pension salary sacrifice
  • EV salary sacrifice scheme

  • Our results focus allows us to be really flexible on working location, and hours. We have successfully been able to accommodate fully remote working, flexible working, compressed hours, variable hours etc
  • You will be given huge amounts of trust, freedom, and support where you need it to deliver in your role
  • We have great fun. We do a company wide check in twice a week, a team quiz on a Friday, regular social events and we have an awesome selection of memes for all occasions.

What do our people say about working here?

"BFY really focuses on the employees and understand that the majority of the job is learned whilst working for clients. They teach you the essentials of the business and provide learning material to start your consultancy journey to ensure everyone has the same initial level and then you start consultancy work within a week or two. It's really incredible to see the level of trust they place in you to allow you to work with clients so early on, rather than have you sat watching from the sidelines." - Tom Deen, Consultant, joined BFY December 2023.

"When you join a new company, it can be daunting, am I good enough? Will I be able to do it? Imposter syndrome can be a real worry, joining BFY is a genuinely awesome experience. Through the process you get to speak to everyone on the team and what is amazing is how open and readily available to help EVERYONE is! The culture here is fantastic and you get to make your own decisions within an incredibly supportive framework." – Kev Brown, Senior Manager, joined BFY September 2022
