Go-To-Market (GTM) Specialist

The Go-To-Market (GTM) Specialist will support the development and execution of go-to-market strategies for new vehicle launches and existing model lifecycle activities.

The role will provide market analysis, competitive intelligence and product insights to support decisions relating to product positioning, pricing, volume planning and launch strategy. It will also coordinate cross-functional launch activities to ensure key GTM deliverables are completed accurately and on time.

Working closely with Product & Planning, Sales, Marketing, Fleet, Finance and Aftersales teams, as well as regional markets and global product teams, the GTM Specialist will help translate product strategy into effective market execution.

The role requires a strong interest in the automotive industry, good analytical capability and the ability to coordinate effectively across multiple functions and international stakeholders.

Responsibilities

GTM Planning & Vehicle Lifecycle Support

  • Support the development and implementation of GTM plans for new vehicle launches, derivatives, model updates and lifecycle activities.
  • Coordinate GTM activities from pre-launch preparation through market launch and post-launch review.
  • Support the development of product positioning, target customer, pricing, volume and launch recommendations.
  • Maintain GTM plans, timelines, milestones and key deliverables.
  • Monitor vehicle lifecycle performance and identify issues requiring further analysis or action.
  • Support Model Year (MY), model enhancement and discontinuation planning.

Market & Competitor Analysis

  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to support product and GTM decision-making.
  • Monitor competitor models, specifications, pricing, technology, incentives and market activity.
  • Analyse market size, segment trends, customer requirements and competitive positioning.
  • Support the development of product USPs and competitive propositions.
  • Maintain competitor databases, market intelligence reports and relevant dashboards.
  • Identify significant market developments and communicate findings to relevant stakeholders.

Product Positioning & Commercial Support

  • Support analysis of product positioning, specification, pricing and volume strategy.
  • Compare proposed products against key competitors and identify competitive strengths and weaknesses.
  • Analyse the potential impact of pricing, specification and market changes on product competitiveness.
  • Prepare data and recommendations to support volume-price discussions.
  • Monitor product performance against agreed commercial objectives.
  • Support scenario analysis for product, pricing and volume decisions.

New Product Launch & Readiness

  • Coordinate cross-functional preparation for new vehicle launches.
  • Maintain launch readiness trackers and ensure actions are followed up with relevant departments.
  • Support the preparation and maintenance of GTM toolkits and launch materials.
  • Work with Product, Sales, Marketing, Fleet and Aftersales teams to ensure launch requirements are aligned.
  • Identify potential launch risks, dependencies and outstanding actions.
  • Support launch readiness meetings and prepare relevant reports and presentations.

Voice of Customer & Product Feedback

  • Collect and consolidate Voice of Customer (VOC) feedback from customers, dealers, media and internal teams.
  • Analyse post-launch feedback and identify recurring product or market themes.
  • Support the development of product improvement recommendations.
  • Provide structured market feedback to product and engineering teams.
  • Support MY/MCE product enhancement activities based on market and customer insights.

Performance & Competitive Monitoring

  • Monitor vehicle sales, pricing and market performance following launch.
  • Track competitor activity and changes in market positioning.
  • Maintain regular competitive intelligence and performance reporting.
  • Identify significant deviations from GTM assumptions and support further investigation.
  • Provide data-driven recommendations to improve product competitiveness and commercial performance.

  • Support coordination between local market teams and global/central product functions.
  • Collect and consolidate market requirements and communicate them clearly to relevant stakeholders.
  • Coordinate information and actions across Product, Sales, Marketing and other business functions.
  • Support communication between UK/European teams and global headquarters.
  • Follow up agreed actions and ensure key GTM milestones are delivered.
  • Support the sharing of market insights and GTM best practices across markets.

GTM Process & Reporting

  • Prepare regular GTM reports, presentations and management updates.
  • Maintain GTM templates, trackers, databases and other working tools.
  • Support post-launch reviews and capture lessons learned.
  • Contribute to the development of GTM processes, playbooks and best-practice materials.
  • Ensure key GTM information and decisions are appropriately documented.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or above, preferably in Engineering, Automotive, Business, Economics, Marketing or a related discipline.
  • 2–5 years' relevant experience within the automotive industry or a related commercial environment.
  • Experience in product planning, product marketing, GTM, market intelligence, pricing, commercial planning or vehicle launch is highly desirable.
  • Good understanding of the automotive market and vehicle lifecycle.
  • Ability to analyse competitor products, specifications, pricing and market data.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into clear insights and recommendations.
  • Good commercial awareness and understanding of the relationship between product, price, volume and market positioning.
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills; experience with automotive market intelligence or data platforms is desirable.
  • Good project coordination and organisational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple activities and deadlines.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively across functions and within an international organisation.
  • Excellent written and verbal English.
