Golang Developer
Sparta Global are hiring a Golang Developer on an initial 6-Month FTC.
Overview:
The role is focused on designing and developing a reusable framework that enables the automation of existing manual processes, and will involve working closely with stakeholders across the department to understand current processes, identify opportunities for automation, and translate operational requirements into effective technical solutions.
The successful candidate will also be expected to challenge existing ways of working and assess whether manual processes are sufficiently valuable, necessary, or suitable for automation.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain applications and automation frameworks using Golang.
- Create reusable tools and components through which manual processes can be automated.
- Work with stakeholders across technical and operational teams to understand existing processes and requirements.
- Analyze manual processes to determine their suitability, value, and priority for automation.
- Challenge process owners to clearly explain the purpose and significance of processes that cannot be automated.
- Identify technical, operational, or regulatory constraints that may prevent automation.
- Translate stakeholder requirements into clear technical designs and deliverable solutions.
- Communicate technical concepts and automation decisions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Produce clear documentation covering the framework, technical decisions, and automated processes.
- Support the testing, implementation, and ongoing improvement of automation solutions.

- Practical experience developing applications or services using Golang.
- Experience designing or creating automation frameworks, tools, or reusable technical components.
- Strong understanding of software development principles and maintainable code.
- Experience gathering and interpreting requirements from stakeholders.
- Ability to analyze business processes and identify appropriate opportunities for automation.
- Confidence challenging existing manual processes and constructively questioning process owners.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to explain why a process can or cannot be automated and clearly document the reasoning.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
