Senior Golang Engineer
Hybrid – 2 days a week in London
£130,000 - £160,000
We’re working with a global financial institution on a high-profile engineering and AI transformation programme, and we’re looking for experienced Golang engineers to join the team.
You’ll be working at the intersection of Platform Engineering, cloud-native infrastructure and emerging AI, helping build secure, scalable platforms that enable engineering teams to move faster and adopt AI safely.
The role will involve working across:
- Internal Developer Platforms and Platform Engineering
- Secure, scalable cloud-native services
- Agentic AI tooling and GenAI enablement
- Secure frameworks and platform services for enterprise AI
- Deploying and operating LLMs within a private enterprise environment
- Engineering standards, best practices and technical strategy

What we’re looking for
- Strong commercial experience with Go — essential
- Deep Kubernetes expertise
- Strong understanding of cloud-native architecture, scaling, SRE and DevOps
- Broad engineering experience across infrastructure, architecture, CI/CD and security
- Genuine curiosity about Generative AI and agentic AI
- A strong engineering mindset and the ability to tackle complex technical problems

Nice to have
- Platform Engineering experience, particularly operating platforms at scale
- Experience with Kotlin, Java and/or Python
- Financial services or other large-scale enterprise engineering experience
- Contributions to open-source projects or internal engineering frameworks
