Hungry for a challenge?
That’s good, because at Just Eat Takeaway.com (JET) we believe everything is possible, or, as we say, everything is on the table. We are a leading global online food delivery marketplace. Our tech ecosystem connects millions of active customers with hundreds of thousands of connected partners in countries across the globe.
Our mission? To empower every food moment around the world, whether it’s through customer service, coding or couriers.
The Opportunity
The Golang Engineering role plays a critical part in connecting Grocery Partners with the Just Eat Takeaway platform. We are looking for engineers to take our integration platform to the next level whilst maintaining core functionality on which thousands of our partners depend. This is a mid level role with a clear route to senior. You'll be solid on the fundamentals today, keen to grow, and happy to bring something to the team beyond your own delivery
Our Stack
You will work mainly in Golang on event-driven microservices. Day to day that means Kafka, AWS (DynamoDB, S3 in particular), Datadog and Grafana, running on Kubernetes. You don't need all of it on day one. The more of it you've used in production, the faster you'll settle in.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Key Ingredients to the Role
- Build new features in our core language, Golang
- Contribute to architectural decisions and help move the platform forward
- Support product and delivery teams
- Learn from senior engineers, and share what you pick up with the team
