Role Overview
We are seeking a senior Gold Bullion Vault Operations & Physical Security SME to support the design and establishment of a gold bullion vault operation.
The individual will bring hands-on precious metals/bullion experience, strong knowledge of Loco London and LBMA requirements, and practical experience within high-security vault or high-value asset environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead development of regulatory and policy frameworks for bullion vault operations.
- Draft operating standards, guidelines, and supervisory criteria.
- Develop operational risk and control frameworks.
- Advise on bullion processes including receipt/release, bar-level records, weighing/authentication, reconciliation, and chain of custody.
- Advise on vault physical security, including access controls, CCTV, alarms, guarding, dual control, insider threat, and incident response.
- Lead workshops and engage with senior stakeholders.

Required Experience
- Direct physical bullion / precious metals experience.
- Strong understanding of Loco London market structure and LBMA requirements.
- Hands-on bullion vault/custody operations experience.
- Experience with high-security vaults or facilities, ideally involving bullion, cash, or other high-value assets.
- Strong operational risk, controls, and policy/standards development experience.
- Ability to operate as a senior SME and lead client-facing workshops.
