Job Opportunity: Irrigation Manager – Golf Course Project
Location: Saudi Arabia (KSA)
Employment Type: Full-Time, ongoing

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Golf Course Irrigation Manager to take responsibility for the operation, maintenance, and continual improvement of our golf course irrigation systems. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with a strong background in greenkeeping or golf course maintenance, combined with hands-on experience managing modern irrigation systems such as Rain Bird or Toro.
Working closely with the Course Manager and greenkeeping team, you will play a vital role in ensuring optimal playing conditions through effective water management, preventative maintenance, and system optimisation.
The Role
- Manage and maintain the golf course irrigation system to ensure efficient and effective operation.
- Programme, monitor, and troubleshoot irrigation control systems, including Rain Bird, Toro, or equivalent.
- Carry out routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs to pumps, valves, sprinklers, pipework, and controllers.
- Identify and resolve irrigation faults quickly to minimise downtime.
- Develop and implement irrigation schedules based on weather conditions, turf requirements, and seasonal demands.
- Monitor water usage and promote sustainable water management practices.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and irrigation reports.
- Work collaboratively with the Course Manager to support course presentation and playing quality.
- Assist with general golf course maintenance and greenkeeping duties as required.
- Ensure all work is carried out safely and in accordance with health and safety regulations.

Essential Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in greenkeeping, golf course maintenance, or sports turf management.
- Proven experience operating and maintaining irrigation systems such as Rain Bird, Toro, or similar.
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
- Good understanding of turfgrass water management and irrigation best practices.
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively.
- Full UK driving licence.

Desirable
- Formal qualification in Greenkeeping, Sports Turf Management, or Irrigation.
- Experience maintaining pump stations and irrigation infrastructure.
- PA1/PA6 or other relevant industry qualifications.
- Experience supervising irrigation projects or small teams.
