Golf Travel Sales Executive (Closer)
Halcyon Golf Travel | Remote (UK) | Starts January 2027
£30–35k base + up to £20k bonus (target based)
Can you turn an enquiry into a £20,000 golf trip booking? Halcyon Golf Travel plans premium golf trips around the UK and Ireland for high-net-worth clients from the USA and all over the world. Think St Andrews, Royal County Down, Ballybunion and the best hotels near them. Our trips often cost £10k or more per person, and our clients expect every detail to be right.
We're a small, fast-growing team, and we need someone whose main job is to close. You'll get prospects on the phone, find out what their perfect trip looks like and get it booked. When they go quiet, you'll find a clever way to follow up.
What you'll do
- Win the business. Turn enquiries into sales calls, and sales calls into confirmed bookings. This is the core of the job.
- Follow up with persistence and creativity. A voice note from the 18th at Portrush, a handwritten card, a loom video talking them through a better hotel choice, the right question asked at the right time. A lot of our deals are won on the fourth or fifth touch.
- Build quotes that sell. Put together accurate, well-presented itineraries that make the trip feel real.
- Keep your pipeline tight. Log every lead, call and supplier detail in our CRM (monday.com).
- Meet clients on tour. Meet up with our groups as a host and explore the places we send our clients. You'll make sure everything runs smoothly and find ways to make the trip better. Happy clients rebook and refer their friends.
- Learn the product first-hand. Go on familiarisation (FAM) trips to courses, hotels and golf towns across the UK and Ireland.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

How the year works
April to September is our busiest time. We run live trips and take bookings for the following summer, so you'll be focused on enquiries, calls and looking after clients. Winter is quieter, and that's when we expect you to take most of your holiday.
You'll be a great fit if you:
- Have a track record in sales, ideally closing high-value deals (£10k+) over the phone.
- Don’t mind working evenings (most of our clients are based in the USA)
- Are persistent and driven, and don't take the first "not right now" as a no
- Are good at building rapport with wealthy, demanding clients
- Write and speak well, and pay close attention to detail
- Know your way around the golf courses and golf towns of the UK and Ireland, or are keen to learn fast
- Are organised and self-motivated enough to do well working remotely
