Located in the heart of Notting Hill, Daylesford Organic is a vibrant neighbourhood destination where our passion for organic farming, seasonal food and sustainable living comes to life.
As a Goods In Receiver at Daylesford Organic, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our store’s back-of-house. You will be responsible for accurately receiving, inspecting, recording all incoming deliveries, and maintaining organised inventory records.
You will also assist in ordering and controlling stock, merchandising shelves, and keeping the back-of-house space clean, tidy, and efficient. Attention to detail, accuracy, and a commitment to high operational standards are essential for success in this role.
HOURS: 40 hours, Tuesday to Saturday 5am-1:30pm.
SALARY: £13.83 per hour, plus tronc.
Responsibilities
- Organising Back of House, Stock Rotation and organisation is on point- ability to time manage to effectively keep the shop floor at Its best
- Print SEL’s and Replace - when updates happen and when old labels need refreshing/updating as required
- Maintain traceability records- ensuring that all folders are up to date and have plenty of fresh documentation pages ready to use
- Supervise consumables and stock levels, placing orders for at least one area
- Delegate tasks to the team to ensure the smooth running of the department, top ups and floor standards maintained throughout the day.
- Report any issues to the Retail Manager with recommendations for possible outcomes
- Stock take assistance, keeping the shop floor running as well as help to count
- Ordering-ability to order based on understanding of top 40 SKU, evaluate and adjust to keep waste under control. Increase knowledge of shelf discipline with recommendations to merchandise for increased sales.

Skills and Experience Required
- Previous experience in a warehouse, stock, or retail back-of-house role is desirable.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy when checking deliveries and recording stock.
- Basic numeracy skills for counting, measuring, and verifying goods.
- Ability to organize and maintain stock efficiently and keep the back-of-house tidy.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems or willingness to learn.
- Good communication skills to liaise with suppliers and colleagues.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical capability to handle stock safely, including lifting and moving items.
- Commitment to high standards of quality, hygiene, and safety.
- Flexible and reliable approach to work, with a proactive and positive attitude.
