Job Overview
The postholder fulfils a vital role in the receipting and delivery of goods and equipment clinics and other on site departments to contribute to a high patient experience. They will maintain the goods in area and stores to a high standard, ensuring a robust movement of stock inwards to various on site departments and outbound to patient delivery. They will ensure the equipment is in perfect order by inspecting it upon delivery and ensuring it conforms to the requirements of the purchase order.
They will keep the stores in a neat and clean manner.
They will also share in Stock Taking and other department roles as required to contribute to overall department efficiency.
Main Duties of the Job
- To be responsible for day to day function of the Goods In store service, always ensuring efficiency and professionalism
- Provide support to Admin team, picking and storing stock to appropriate locations
- Checking the delivery of Standard and Specialist equipment conforms to what was requested from suppliers and receipting this into the BEST database.
- Ensure correct equipment picked ready for deliveries.
- Performing the stocktaking of stock and wheelchairs
- Regular communication and cooperation with other departments.
- Liaising with supplier returns as required.
- To prioritise, control and coordinate incoming work according to urgency.
- Provide support to Service Manager as required.
- To be flexible to the needs of the Department with regards to cover of duties.
- Other duties appropriate to the grade as agreed between the post holder and manager.

Detailed Job Description and Main Responsibilities
You will be receiving deliveries from a variety of suppliers. These are to be checked against suppliers advice / delivery notes to ensure we receive the correct items and the correct quantities. Discrepancies need to be reported to the supplier
Once received, these will need to be stored or delivered to the appropriate location or department within BCE.
Outbound items prepared for carriage and sent as advised.
Working with other team members to pick stock for various deliveries outbound.
Keeping the working area clean, neat and tidy to avoid H&S risks.
Assisting with stock takes as directed.

- Experience in a goods received environment.
- Physically fit
- Attention to detail.
- IT Literate

- An understanding and application of Health and Safety at work
- Able to work as part of a team and also alone.
