Location
This Goods-in Inspector position is based in Andover, Hampshire.
Working Hours
- Monday to Thursday: 08:30-17:00
- Friday: 08:30-15:30
Job Details
The role is permanent, onsite, and paying up to £30,000 depending on experience.
Responsibilities
As the Goods-in Inspector, you’ll be responsible for inspecting incoming components and materials to ensure they meet design specifications, quality standards, and customer requirements. This will include:

- Inspecting bespoke components such as PCBs, metalwork, seals, and gaskets
- Identifying and recording non-conformances
- Segregating suspect goods
- Supporting counterfeit component checks using inspection equipment including X-Ray
- Assisting with customer returns
- Conducting random inspections of goods and kits
- Working closely with Stores, Planning, Operations, and other internal teams to resolve quality issues
- Using precision measurement equipment
- Maintaining accurate quality records and documentation
Requirements
You Will Need:
- Previous experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment, ideally electronics manufacturing
- Experience reading and interpreting detailed mechanical drawings
- Experience using inspection and measurement equipment such as Vernier Calipers, Micrometers, and Slip Gauges
- Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to inspection
- Experience using MRP or ERP systems would be advantageous
- Level 3 qualification in Electronics Engineering or a related discipline would be desirable
- Knowledge of IPC-A-600, ESD control, CMM equipment, or Dangerous Goods would be advantageous
