Google Cloud Champion (Pre-Sales & Delivery Leadership) – London, UK

About the Role

Are you a Google Cloud (GCP) leader who thrives in client engagement, capable of inspiring stakeholders during pitches and seamlessly guiding them through implementation?

Capgemini Financial Services is seeking a high-impact Google Cloud Champion to anchor its Google Cloud Centre of Excellence (CoE) in London, UK. This comprehensive, client-facing role spans the entire lifecycle of client engagement—from pre-sales discovery and competitive proposal writing to the high-level technical delivery and go-live of cloud-native solutions in financial services.

The ideal candidate bridges the gap between commercial aspiration and technical execution. You’ll empower marquee banking, capital markets, and insurance clients by delivering cloud strategies, architectural oversight, and hands-on delivery leadership that align with their strategic roadmaps.

Given the hybrid nature of this role, you’ll be expected to balance office-based work, client onsite visits, and occasional remote collaboration—ensuring alignment between the office, client sites, and home (while maintaining at least partial in-office presence).

Your Role

Pre-Sales & Origination

  • Partner with account managers to lead pre-sales technical engagements, uncovering and shaping client requirements.
  • Develop compelling RFP responses and proposals using GCP capabilities to win new business.
  • Design and deliver high-impact pitches showcasing how GCP can transform client operations and revenue streams.

Architectural Delivery Leadership

  • Serve as Lead Principal Architect on key accounts, defining the north star vision for cloud transformations.
  • Drive migration strategies and cloud adoption frameworks, ensuring alignment between business needs and technical feasibility.
  • Oversee high-level GCP designs, orchestrating cross-functional teams to achieve production-grade deployments.

Executive Advisory

  • Act as a trusted strategic advisor to client CIOs, CTOs, and Cloud Directors—bridging executive-level discussions and technical delivery.
  • Provide long-term roadmaps while securely tracking delivery health reviews to ensure timelines and quality standards.
  • Engage with stakeholders to align expectations between the vision outlined in early-stage proposals and ongoing implementation.

Commercial Asset Creation

  • Develop productised, reusable GCP solution templates tailored to:
    • Retail Banking
    • Commercial Banking
    • Payments
    • Capital Markets
    • Insurance
  • Define repeatable intellectual property that accelerates delivery for multiple financial services clients.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
