Governance Officer | Pensions & Investment Management

Wolverhampton | £40,000 | Hybrid

Are you an experienced Governance professional looking for your next opportunity within a highly regulated environment?

We are working with a leading organisation within the pensions and investment management sector that is looking for a Governance Officer to join its team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys being at the heart of Board and committee activity, working with senior stakeholders and taking real ownership of governance processes.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Managing Board & Committee meeting cycles
  • Coordinating agendas, papers, deadlines and actions
  • Drafting high-quality, accurate minutes
  • Maintaining governance records, systems and statutory information
  • Supporting Company Secretarial and shareholder processes
  • Working closely with senior stakeholders
  • Identifying and escalating governance issues where appropriate
  • Contributing to process and governance improvements

Ideally, you’ll have experience in:

  • Governance
  • Company Secretarial
  • Legal Operations
  • Financial Services or another regulated environment

You’ll also be:

✅ Ideally experienced within pensions, investments, asset management or financial services
✅ Highly organised and detail-focused
✅ Comfortable managing multiple deadlines
✅ An excellent writer with strong minute-taking skills
✅ Confident working with senior stakeholders
✅ Able to take ownership while knowing when to escalate
