Governance Consultant
Contract | Remote / UK
Nigel Frank International is partnering with a growing AI consultancy to appoint a Governance Consultant to support client engagements across governance, risk, operating-model design and organisational transformation.
This is an opportunity for a strong, client-facing governance professional to work on meaningful transformation projects, helping organisations put clear structures, processes and decision-making frameworks in place as they adopt new technology and ways of working.
You do not need prior AI governance or Microsoft Copilot experience. The consultancy will provide training in its AI governance methodology — the priority is finding someone who understands how to assess an organisation, engage stakeholders and turn complex challenges into practical, well-structured recommendations.
The Role
You will work directly with client stakeholders to:

- Facilitate workshops, discovery sessions and interviews to understand current ways of working, risks and priorities.
- Design and improve governance frameworks, operating models, processes and decision-making structures.
- Support process mapping, requirements gathering and business analysis activity.
- Identify risks, gaps and opportunities, then produce clear recommendations and client-ready reports.
- Help clients embed practical governance that enables transformation rather than creating unnecessary bureaucracy.
- Contribute to engagements across AI governance, technology transformation and organisational change.
What We Are Looking For
- Experience in governance, risk, transformation, operating-model design, business analysis or process improvement.
- A track record of personally delivering and embedding improvements — for example, creating governance frameworks, redesigning processes, implementing controls or improving how teams operate.
- Strong workshop facilitation, stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Comfortable working with senior stakeholders and presenting structured, credible recommendations.
- Able to work independently, bring ideas to the table and take ownership of defined client deliverables.
- Experience within financial services, legal, professional services or technology would be beneficial.
