Governance Executive

We're looking for a Governance Executive to join our team in London on a permanent basis. This role offers a salary of £38,000 - £43,000 (depending on experience) and a hybrid working pattern.

What you will be doing

  • Manage the annual governance calendar and arrange Council, Board and committee meetings, including rooms, catering, technology and travel.
  • Schedule meetings, circulate papers and maintain attendance records.
  • Act as a first point of contact for members' administrative queries and monitor the governance inbox.
  • Administer member inductions, reappointments and retirements, keeping records accurate and up to date.
  • Coordinate the weekly governance newsletter and retain meeting documents in line with ICAEW policy.
  • Support the team's GDPR, compliance and internal control processes, adapting to changing priorities in a busy office.

What you will need

  • Experience supporting a busy team with competing deadlines and senior stakeholders.
  • Strong organisation and prioritisation skills, with excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • The confidence to correspond with Council and Board members, and clear written and verbal communication.
  • Sound judgement when handling sensitive and confidential information.
  • A proactive, conscientious approach: able to work independently and support colleagues when needed.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Teams, plus confidence learning new systems such as Diligent and Dynamics 365.
