Are you an expert in industry code governance and passionate about driving change within the energy sector? Our client is seeking a Senior Code Governance Lead to join their dynamic Governance team. You will play a pivotal role in managing industry code modifications and ensuring effective engagement with stakeholders. Your expertise will guide the team through the governance process, improving code administration and fostering a collaborative environment. This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact in the energy and utilities industry!
Role: Senior Code Governance Lead
Duration: 8 Months (ext. options)
Location: Warwick or Wokingham (Hybrid 1 Day in Office)
Rate: £650 pd (umbrella)
Key Accountabilities:
- Act as the go-to expert on industry code governance processes and electricity code administration for the client.
- Project manage industry code changes through the governance process while overseeing daily team activities.
- Lead communication and engagement strategies, setting best practices for code administration.
- Chair internal and external working groups, ensuring effective collaboration.
- Mentor and coach team members while providing expert advice on governance matters.
- Identify and implement improvements to enhance service delivery for stakeholders.
- Manage relationships with Ofgem regarding governance issues.
- Develop expertise in key industry areas to assist with drafting code modification proposals.

About You: We're looking for a visionary who possesses:
- Deep knowledge of industry code governance and regulatory frameworks.
- Strong communication and engagement skills, with experience chairing industry meetings.
- Proven ability to build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Solid project management expertise, capable of juggling multiple tasks efficiently.
- Experience in coaching and mentoring, with a knack for problem-solving.
- A customer-focused mindset, eager to enhance stakeholder satisfaction.
