We are partnering with a leading UK professional and membership organisation to find a Governance Officer to join its Corporate Governance team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a governance professional to play a key role in supporting Boards and Committees, ensuring strong corporate governance, regulatory compliance and effective decision-making across the organisation and its subsidiaries.
Key responsibilities
- Supporting Group Boards, Committees and subsidiary Boards.
- Advising on governance, legal, regulatory and constitutional requirements.
- Planning and supporting AGMs and other governance processes.
- Maintaining statutory records and managing Companies House filings.
- Administering and minuting Board and Committee meetings.
- Supporting governance projects, audits and annual reporting.
- Developing strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Contributing to the ongoing development of governance policies, processes and systems.

About you
- Experience within a governance, company secretarial, regulatory or compliance environment.
- Strong understanding of corporate governance requirements.
- Experience supporting and minuting Board or Committee meetings.
- Excellent communication and relationship management skills.
- CGI part-qualified, working towards the qualification, or equivalent demonstrable governance experience.
- Experience within a regulated, charitable or membership organisation would be advantageous.
